At Baronville, Lucas is sitting in the visiting room on the opposite side of the glass. “Come on…where the hell is she?” Lucas wonders. Lucas looks up as someone arrives on the other side of the glass. The person sits in front of Lucas and picks up the phone. “Hello Lucas.” A familiar voice says. “Gretta.” Lucas responds. Gretta is revealed to be sitting on the other side of the glass. “I’m glad you came.” Gretta tells him. “Clearly you knew that I would, I imagine that’s the reason you offered protection to Lydia.” Lucas says. “Lydia told you about that, did she?” Gretta asks. “She and I tell each other everything.” Lucas says. “Except for that time you returned to organized crime and didn’t tell her about it.” Gretta notes. “We both know I only did that because Mia Goo was threatening my family.” Lucas points out. “Yes, I know. I remember. So tell me, how have you been? How’s life?” Gretta questions. “The love of my life is in prison, life hasn’t been great.” Lucas says. “I’m sure it’s better now that you at least know Lydia is alive. It must have been hell during those two years, believing Lydia died in some horrific explosion. I can’t imagine that pain you must have been experiencing.” Gretta says. “You have no idea…” Lucas mutters. “Perhaps the pain would’ve been more bearable if you had confided in someone who loves you, a family member maybe.” Gretta says. “I think I see where this is going…” Lucas says. “You’ve been out of touch for a long time. We haven’t spoken at all since I was sent here, that was nearly seven years ago.” Gretta notes. “Does that surprise you? You and I have never been close.” Lucas points out. “We turned a corner when I last lived in town! It wasn’t until my incarceration that you suddenly stopped caring about me! What’s the matter, Lucas? Did my conviction embarrass you or something? Is that why you couldn’t be bothered to keep in contact with me?” Gretta asks. “You took things too far when you targeted Josephine Acerbi! As if that wasn’t bad enough, you threw in with Andre Stanpatos of all people!” Lucas recalls. “May he rest in peace.” Gretta says. “May he burn in hell! After Rebecca came to visit you looking for information on the partnership you had with him, Andre arranged for a car crash that put her daughter Ava into a coma!” Lucas remembers. “So that’s somehow my fault? I told Rebecca what she wanted to know!” Gretta argues. “You did the right thing, but that doesn’t change the fact that you worked with someone like him in the first place!” Lucas snaps. “Well look at me now! I’m certainly paying the price for that mistake, aren’t I?! I guess that’s not a problem for you, though. It’s much easier to ignore me while I am locked up and out of sight!” Gretta says. “Why don’t you just cut to the chase and tell me what you want? Be both know you didn’t offer Lydia protection out of the goodness of your heart, you did so because you knew it would set off alarms for me and I would come to visit you. There must be a reason you wanted me here, so what is it? Are you hoping to mend fences?” Lucas asks. “Would that be so horrible?” Gretta wonders. “Is that what you want?” Lucas questions. Gretta hesitates for a moment before answering. “As nice as that would be, it isn’t the reason I was hoping you’d drop in. I have a business proposition for you.” Gretta reveals.

In the Goo Castle solarium, King Beast pours himself a cup of coffee when he hears someone knocking. King Beast looks towards the patio door and notices Janice standing outside! “What on earth?” King Beast questions. King Beast walks over to the door and opens it. “Janet?” King Beast asks. “Hi Damien! Long time no see!” Janice says. “What are you doing here?” King Beast wonders. “Truthfully? I couldn’t stop thinking about you since we ran into each other at Goo Village, so I looked you up online! When I did, I found this address! Pretty fancy place you’ve got here.” Janice says. “Why thank you…you know, I do have a front door.” King Beast notes. “I know, but when I pulled up outside, I couldn’t help but notice how beautiful your garden is! I just had to take a walk around. Once I was finished, this door right here was the closest to where I was. Sorry if I overstepped at all.” Janice says. “You needn’t apologize, I’m not upset…not with you.” King Beast says. “That’s interesting wording. Are you upset about something else?” Janice wonders. “I don’t want to trouble you with my problems.” King Beast says. “No trouble at all! My life is pretty boring, I wouldn’t mind hearing a bit about yours.” Janice says. King Beast sighs. “Okay…my only child and I are at odds right now.” King Beast says. “Oh my goodness, what happened?” Janice wonders. “Some details from my past have come to light that left Dannie deeply upset. Honestly, I’m concerned they may never forgive me.” King Beast says. “Awww, Damien, I’m so sorry. There’s nothing worse than when your kids are mad at you. I should know, mine have been mad at me plenty!” Janice says. “What’s even worse is not knowing whether or not they will ever forgive you.” King Beast says. “I’ve been in that position too, unfortunately. Is that coffee you’re drinking?” Janice asks. “Yes, why?” King Beast asks. “You’re pretty stressed, are you sure that’s the best drink for you?” Janice wonders. “No, probably not.” King Beast admits. “Yeah, I didn’t think so. Is there any tea around in the house? I could make you a cup.” Janice says. “There’s actually a fresh pot right over there.” King Beast says. “Wonderful!” Janice exclaims. Janice walks over to the pot and pours King Beast a cup. Janice peers over her shoulder to see if King Beast is watching and then pours a small bag of white powder into his cup. Janice then mixes the powder in and smiles to herself…

Down at the docks, Lawrence and Gizelle are looking out at the water. “That Kellers woman is taking longer than we hoped. Maybe I should go look for her.” Gizelle suggests. “There’s no need to concern yourself, Gizelle. We had Miss. Kellers followed when she left the bridge. I’m sure that if she had attempted to double cross us, we would have been notified by now.” Lawrence says. Zoey arrives on the scene. “Did I hear something about someone being double crossed?” Zoey wonders. “Hello, Miss. Kellers! Gizelle here was beginning to worry that we had been double crossed.” Lawrence admits. “Heaven forbid! Don’t worry, you don’t have to worry about that with me. I’m as trustworthy as they come.” Zoey says. Lawrence smiles. “I have no doubt. So, did you bring what I had asked for?” Lawrence wonders. “Of course I did. I don’t even want to think about what would happen if I didn’t.” Zoey says. Zoey reaches into her purse and pulls out the diamond necklace. “Here you go, Mr. Stanpatos. The legendary diamond necklace.” Zoey says. “Excellent! I am so glad you followed through on your end of the bargain.” Lawrence says. Lawrence takes the diamond necklace from Zoey. “Out of curiosity, what is so special about this necklace? I’ve heard rumors about the three diamond jewels, but nothing more I’m afraid.” Zoey says. “You needn’t worry yourself with the details, Miss. Kellers. You got an early release from prison out of this, that should be all you really need to concern yourself with.” Lawrence says. “Fair enough. I’ll be on my way then.” Zoey says. Zoey goes to leave but Gizelle steps in front of her. “I’m leaving.” Zoey tells her. “Not quite yet.” Lawrence says. Zoey turns to face Lawrence. “Is there a problem?” Zoey wonders. “I certainly hope not. Before I allow you to skip off to your new life, I first need to verify that the necklace is authentic.” Lawrence says. “You don’t trust me?” Zoey asks. “Someone else tried to dupe me with a fraudulent piece of jewelry. Ever since that moment, I have had to proceed with additional caution. Surely you understand.” Lawrence says. “Of course. I-I’m just not sure how you would even be able to tell whether or not the necklace is authentic.” Zoey says. “Funnily enough, that’s what the last person said! As it happens, there is a way to tell the difference between one of the real jewels and a forgery. You see, there is a faint red blinking light within the diamond jewels, one that is visible if you pay close enough attention.” Lawrence says. Zoey fakes a smile. “Is that right?” Zoey asks. “Yes…so before I take your word that the necklace is real, I’m just waiting to see that light.” Lawrence says. “Of course. Well, I have an appointment I need to get to, so why don’t you just call me and let me know what you find out?” Zoey asks. “Why the rush to leave?” Gizelle asks. “Like I said, I have an appointment.” Zoey claims. “She’s also lying through her bloody teeth.” Lawrence states. Zoey turns back towards Lawrence. “Excuse me?!” Zoey asks. Lawrence looks up at Zoey. “Did you really think you could fool me with this terrible knock off? Even after I told you I would be able to spot the difference?” Lawrence asks. “I haven’t a clue what you’re going on about.” Zoey claims. “You know exactly what I am talking about, my dear.” Lawrence says. Gizelle grabs Zoey from behind as Lawrence pulls out his gun and points it at Zoey! “You best tell me where the real necklace is, or else you won’t be leaving this dock alive.” Lawrence warns!

In the visiting room at Baronville, Lucas leans in closer to the glass. “What sort of business proposition could you possibly have for me? You aren’t in a position to be starting any new businesses.” Lucas notes. “I never said it was for me. I’ve been in contact with an organization who is looking to set up shop in Fantastic City.” Gretta says. “What kind of organization?” Lucas wonders. “The same kind you and I used to be a part of. Now I know what you’re going to say, that you don’t want any part of it.” Gretta says. “You’d be correct, so why bother wasting your time?” Lucas wonders. “I’m not expecting you to return to the business. As I said, this organization is looking to set up shop in Fantastic City, but to do that, they were hoping maybe you’d help them set up by providing them with some of your former contacts, maybe even access to some of your old territory.” Gretta says. “It isn’t my territory anymore.” Lucas points out. “No, but I think things would progress much quicker for them if they had your blessing. Despite the fact that you were only in control of the Fantastic City underworld for a few years, you were able to earn the respect of a great number of Fantastic City’s most notable dirt bags.” Gretta says. “I see…out of curiosity, why did you agree to help these people?” Lucas wonders. “They offered to arrange for me to get released on good behavior, if I managed to broker a deal between you and their organization.” Gretta reveals. “I see…” Lucas says. “If you make this deal, it would be beneficial for the both of us, Lucas. I could potentially be released soon, and then you, they’re willing to offer you a certain percentage of all profits they make.” Gretta says. “Mmhm, and out of curiosity, what would this organization be selling?” Lucas wonders. “Does it matter?” Gretta questions. “If I’m expected to go into business with these people, I’d say it does.” Lucas says. “I’m not suggesting you go into business with them.” Gretta argues. “You’re suggesting I give them some of my old contacts, help them set up in my old territory. By doing that, you may as well say that I’m handing them the keys to the kingdom.” Lucas says. “A kingdom you haven’t been in control of for quite some time!” Gretta argues. “That’s irrelevant! I live in Fantastic City, I have friends that live in Fantastic City, I don’t want to be responsible for corrupting it! So if you want me to go along with this, you’re gonna have to tell me what these people plan on selling.” Lucas says. Gretta sighs. “Drugs.” Gretta admits. “What kind of drugs?” Lucas questions. “Cocaine, among others.” Gretta reveals. “No deal.” Lucas coldly states. “Lucas, c’mon!” Gretta says. “If you think I am going to help a drug lord move in on Fantastic City, you’re even crazier than I thought!” Lucas snaps. “It’s a good deal, especially considering that you’re currently unemployed and aren’t making any money elsewhere! All you would have to do is sit back and collect the profit!” Gretta says. “I would still be complicit in drug trafficking!” Lucas points out. “It’d hardly be the first time!” Gretta points out. “Every time I have been involved in drug trafficking, it was against my own free will! I NEVER got involved in anything like that when I was running the business on my own!” Lucas states. “Well why don’t you forget about all of that for a second? If you accept this deal, I could potentially be released! If you don’t accept this deal, I’ll end up spending the rest of my life in this hellhole! Don’t you care about what happens to me?” Gretta asks. “You landed yourself in here, sis! It shouldn’t be my responsibility to try and get you released!” Lucas tells her. “My god, you haven’t changed a bit. You are still the same sniveling coward you have always been, not to mention the same selfish bastard that only ever looks out for himself! You never cared about morals before, only when it came to saving your own ass! Oh, and whenever it involved impressing a woman. I can guarantee that if Lydia were still nothing more than a charred corpse, you would have no problem accepting my offer!” Gretta growls. “You watch how you talk about Lydia!” Lucas warns. “Why? It’s the truth! She carries your balls in her purse, she has since the moment you first started falling for her! It’s laughable, to be perfectly honest with you!” Gretta says. “This conversation is over.” Lucas states. “These people are coming to Fantastic one way or another, dear brother. It’d be within your best interest to cooperate with them rather than stand against them. You see, they have a reputation of eliminating anyone who they view as an obstacle. You don’t want to be seen as an obstacle to them.” Gretta says. “Who the hell are these people, hm?” Lucas questions. Gretta smirks. “Like you said earlier, this conversation is over. Take care, Lucas.” Gretta says, before hanging up the phone, standing up, and exiting the visiting room. Lucas sighs. “What the hell have you gotten yourself into Gretta? Actually, what have you gotten me into?” Lucas wonders to himself.

In a different part of Baronville, Gretta is using a phone. “It’s me. I just spoke to my brother, and he’s reluctant to go into business with you and your family…no, I didn’t tell him who you were, but I did tell him that you were planning to sell drugs in the city…I didn’t have much choice, he demanded to know what product you planned on selling! Besides, he was going to find out one way or the other…no, I’m not prepared to give up hope just yet. If Lucas doesn’t want to work with you willingly, I guess we’ll have to take a more drastic approach.” Gretta cryptically states…

In the Goo Castle solarium, Janice hands King Beast a cup of tea. “Here you go.” Janice says. “Thank you, Janet. I appreciate this greatly.” King Beast says. “You look like you could use it. I have a feeling you probably could’ve used a shot of something in it.” Janice says. King Beast chuckles. “That does sound rather appealing right about now.” King Beast says, as he takes a sip of tea. “Oh my goodness! This has to be one of the most divine cups of tea I have ever had the pleasure of drinking! What did you put in this, Janet?” King Beast wonders. Janice laughs. “Oh, just a little special ingredient I put in every cup of tea I make!” Janice claims. “Well perhaps you should consider a career of making tea. You would excel at it!” King Beast says. “You’re so kind.” Janice says. “Hm…” King Beast says. “What is it?” Janice asks. “It’s just…this tea is doing…it’s doing an excellent job at relaxing me. I feel so drowsy all of a sudden.” King Beast says. “Is that a good thing?” Janice wonders. “It is a very good thing! I didn’t get much sleep at all last night, I could really use a little nap.” King Beast says. “Is that my cue to leave?” Janice asks. “I’m sorry. I am incredibly grateful that you stopped by, but maybe we should do this some other time.” King Beast says. Janice smiles. “It’s no trouble at all. I completely understand.” Janice says. King Beast stands up but then freezes. “Is everything okay? You don’t look too good.” Janice notes. King Beast turns towards Janice. “I…I…” Before King Beast can finish, he collapses onto the floor! “Wow, must’ve been more tired than you let on, huh?” Janice asks. Janice gets onto the floor, lays down next to King Beast, and begins stroking his cheek. “Oh don’t worry my darling, I promise that I am going to take very good care of you. It’s time you get what’s coming to you.” Janice says…

Down at the docks, Lawrence is pointing his gun at Zoey as Gizelle holds her in place. “One last time…where is the real diamond necklace?” Lawrence questions. Zoey nervously laughs. “Was that not the real necklace? Silly me! I must have gotten it mixed up with one of my own!” Zoey claims. “No offense, but I can’t picture you owning a necklace this exquisite.” Lawrence says. “I’ve collected a great deal of beautiful jewelry over the years.” Zoey says. “From your collection of ex husbands, no doubt.” Lawrence says. “They all knew I had expensive taste! Please, allow me to correct my unfortunate error.” Zoey says. Zoey reaches into her purse and pulls out the real diamond necklace. “What a coincidence that you just so happened to have the real one on you when you gave me this fake one. But it was a mere accident, right?” Lawrence asks. “Right! I have so many pieces of jewelry on me, you know, since I’m in between homes: prison and wherever I move next. Surely you understand, right?” Zoey asks. “Just hand me the necklace please.” Lawrence says. Gizelle releases her grip on Zoey and Zoey walks towards Lawrence with the real diamond necklace in hand. Zoey then passes the diamond necklace over to Lawrence. “Here you are. I’m terribly sorry for the misunderstanding.” Zoey says. Lawrence takes the necklace from Zoey and observes it. “I bet you are…” Lawrence mutters. “Oh come on! Don’t tell me you think that one isn’t the real deal either!” Zoey says. “As I said, Miss. Kellers, one can never be too careful.” Lawrence says. As Lawrence stares at the necklace, a faint blinking red light can briefly be spotted. “There’s the light…” Lawrence mutters. “Then I can go now, yes?” Zoey asks. “Not quite. If it’s the real necklace, the light blinks at a precise pattern. If the pattern is off by even a millisecond, I’ll know that this necklace is also a fake.” Lawrence says. “Bloody hell, I didn’t even know about the red light! How do you suppose I created a fake necklace with said red light installed?” Zoey questions. Lawrence sees the red light blink once again. “Well, it would appear that this is in fact the real diamond necklace. Thank you so much for your cooperation, Miss. Kellers.” Lawrence says. “You’re very welcome, and I’m sorry about the misunderstanding earlier. I truly had no idea that the first necklace was the wrong one.” Zoey lies. “I bet you are.” Lawrence says. “So…may I go now?” Zoey asks. Lawrence smiles. “Certainly. I have no further use for you.” Lawrence says. Suddenly, Lawrence grabs Zoey and snaps her neck! Zoey drops to the ground, her eyes still wide open. “Trying to cross me was a foolish mistake, Miss. Kellers, one which you unfortunately weren’t able to live to regret.” Lawrence says. “Would you like me to get rid of the body? We have a river conveniently located right next to us, I could just kick her in and we can be done with this.” Gizelle suggests. “That’s a lovely thought, Gizelle, but I have a much better idea as for what we can do with Zoey here.” Lawrence says…
