Fantastic S5 Episode 23(11/7/23)
“You can’t seriously expect to me to go along with Lysandros’ demands!” Dylan says. “Do you have an alternative?” Lawrence questions. “Yes! We shelf the plan to take control of Masters Corp and I just focus on running Stanpatos Enterprises!” Dylan says. “Are you out of your bloody mind?! Do you have any idea how much trouble I went through to acquire the 40% in Masters Corp we currently possess?” Lawrence asks. “No, I don’t have any idea because you never told me. You claim you tracked Lydia’s shares down after The Master died, but you never told me how you got Serena’s shares. Those were in Kitty Cat’s possession and then they somehow ended up in yours.” Dylan notes. “Without getting into the gory details, getting my hands on those shares was no easy matter. So for you to simply shrug off my plan after all of the time and effort I put into it, surely you can understand why I’d be a tad upset!” Lawrence snaps. “I never asked you to do any of this!” Dylan points out. “Because we are family, and with family you don’t ever have to ask! Don’t you understand that everything I have been doing has been for the benefit of this family? I want to make sure that the Stanpatos family continues to thrive long after we are both gone, its the reason why I have devoted so much time to accumulating shares in Masters Corp, among other ventures!” Lawrence says. “What other ventures?” Dylan questions. “Don’t worry about any of that right now, you’ll find out when the time is right.” Lawrence says. “That’s not good enough for me! You may be the eldest member of the family but I am the head of it, so if you have something planned I have the right to know!” Dylan tells him. “And why would I confide in you when you are allowing petty grievances to cloud your judgment?” Lawrence asks. “I wouldn’t call not wanting to go into business with a man who has a history of violence a petty grievance! Lysandros Masters is not to be trusted and for that reason I am not going to contribute to putting him in any sort of position of power!” Dylan says. “Do you really think I’m fond of the idea of you sharing this position with Lysandros? Of course not! My plan was to give Masters Corp to you and to you alone! Then you would be able to merge the company with Stanpatos Enterprises, creating the most powerful conglomerate this planet has ever seen! Obviously that isn’t going to be possible with Lysandros as your co CEO.” Lawrence says. “Then why do you keep insisting I go along with these ridiculous demands?” Dylan asks. “Because it wouldn’t be permanent! Think about this for just a moment! You are a Stanpatos, more than capable of coming up with a solution to oust Lysandros from the company!” Lawrence says. “Ousting Lysandros sounds pleasant enough, but it won’t be so easy when we won’t have shareholders to answer to. Since he has his own shares, getting rid of him will be much easier said than done.” Dylan notes. “Perhaps getting him to resign of his own volition would be difficult, which is precisely why we would need to find something to force his hand.” Lawrence says. “You mean blackmail him?” Dylan asks. “Exactly! So what do you say? Are you in or are you out?” Lawrence questions.
At Slate Gray, Bethany is sitting at the bar when Virginia walks up to her. “Hey there, Bethany!” Virginia exclaims. “Virginia! Hi! Fancy meeting you here!” Bethany says. “I figured I’d come downstairs and grab some food in between meetings. What about you? You can’t be here for cocktails this early. Besides, wouldn’t that be a betrayal to Club Aqua?” Virginia asks. Bethany smiles. “I’m not here for drinks. I’m actually meeting Kaylie here for lunch.” Bethany says. “Oh good, I’m glad you two girls are making time for each other. I know you’ve both got very busy schedules.” Virginia says. “It definitely hasn’t been easy, ESPECIALLY not with our new house guest.” Bethany says. “I heard something about that. So Dannie Goo is living with you two now?” Virginia asks. “Mmhm, at least until they find the sicko who’s stalking them.” Bethany says. “I still can’t believe Kaylie moved a total stranger into your house! I mean, everyone knows the Goo family, they’re good people, but from what I’ve heard, she don’t even know Dannie all that well!” Virginia says. “She doesn’t, but Kay sympathized with Dannie’s situation because of everything she went through with Xavier so she took pity on them.” Bethany says. “That’s one of my baby’s biggest faults, her bleeding heart.” Virginia notes. “You’re telling me! But after freaking out about it at first, I’ve calmed down and am giving the whole situation a chance, for Kaylie’s sake.” Bethany says. “That’s pretty big of you.” Virginia says. “Oh believe me, I am NOT happy about it, but I’m managing.” Bethany says. “I’m just happy my Kaylie has somebody as devoted as you to come home too.” Virginia says. “Aw, thanks. Speaking of Kay, she was supposed to be here like 10 minutes ago.” Bethany notes. “That’s strange. My girl is NEVER late.” Virginia says. “I know! I’d like to know what’s keeping her.” Bethany says.
In Bethany and Kaylie’s condo, Dannie is sitting by an unconscious Kaylie’s side, holding her hand. “The ambulance is on the way Kaylie, you’re going to be just fine.” Dannie says. Caleb rushes back into the condo. “I tried to catch up with the son of a bitch who did this but he was too fast! How is she?” Caleb asks. “She has a pulse but its weak. The ambulance is on the way, I just hope it won’t be too late.” Dannie says. “So that guy who did this, he’s your stalker?” Caleb asks. “It would seem so. I never guessed it would be Meow Cat of all people…” Dannie says. “Do the two of you have some history?” Caleb asks. “A little. Certainly not enough for him to be stalking me though! None of this makes any sense…” Dannie says. “Well don’t worry, the cops will find him and he’ll be brought to justice.” Caleb says. “I hope so...so what are you doing here anyways?” Dannie asks. “I came by to see if you wanted to grab a bite to eat or something and I noticed that the door was opened. Then I heard all the commotion and rushed in. I’m sorry I couldn’t have been more help.” Caleb says. “You did all you could, thank you.” Dannie says. “You’re welcome. So any idea what was in that syringe?” Caleb asks. “I don’t know, hopefully nothing lethal. But going by Kaylie’s slow pulse, I’m guessing it was more than just a sedative. Where is that ambulance?!” Dannie wonders. “I can call and get an update.” Caleb offers. “Yes, please do!” Dannie urges. Caleb pulls out his phone and makes the call, as Dannie returns their attention to Kaylie. “Stay with me, Kaylie. Just stay with me…” Dannie insists.
In the living room of the Stanpatos mansion, Dylan walks over to the patio doors and gazes out them. “You aren’t saying anything.” Lawrence observes. “I don’t like this, any of this!” Dylan says. “Neither do I. Unfortunately, sometimes compromises are necessary in order for the bigger picture to fully be realized.” Lawrence says. “And just what is the bigger picture?” Dylan questions. “Us being in complete control of Masters Corp of course.” Lawrence says. “Yes, you’ve said that already, but I get the sense that you have something bigger in the works.” Dylan says. “I will admit there are balls in the air that you are not yet privy to.” Lawrence says. “Such as?” Dylan asks. “Its within your best interest to let me worry about those for the time being. For right now, your attention needs to be on the business side of our family empire. You just let me worry about the rest. On that note, we need to come to a conclusion regarding what we are going to do with this Masters Corp takeover. You heard Lysandros, he isn’t going to wait forever. He is going to want an answer rather soon.” Lawrence says. Dylan sighs. “I guess this is our only option.” Dylan says. “For now, but I suspect it won’t be long before we have the ammunition to get rid of Mr. Masters once and for all.” Lawrence says. “I hope you’re right.” Dylan says. “Should I take that to mean that you are willing to go ahead and meet Lysandros’ demands?” Lawrence asks. “Only until we can find a way to get rid of him.” Dylan says. Lawrence smiles. “Beautiful! Trust me my son, you will not regret this! Now go call Lysandros! Let this new era of the Stanpatos family commence!” Lawrence exclaims. “I’ll go make the call. Excuse me.” Dylan says, before walking out into the foyer. “Don’t worry Dylan, one way or another, we will be rid of Lysandros Masters. Lets just hope we are able to force him out without needing to resort to more...extreme measures.” Lawrence mutters…
At Slate Gray, Bethany and Kaylie are still at the bar. “Okay, this is getting ridiculous. I think I’d better call her.” Bethany says. “Please do. I’m sure everything is fine, but I’d like to hear that for myself!” Virginia says. Bethany dials Kaylie’s number and the phone begins to ring. “Hello?” A familiar voice answers. “Dannie, is that you? Why are you answering Kaylie’s phone?” Bethany asks. “Bethany...something terrible happened.” Dannie says. Bethany’s eyes widen. “Is Kaylie okay?” Bethany questions. “I-I’d rather not get into it over the phone. You better come to the hospital right away.” Dannie says. “I’m on my way.” Bethany says, before hanging up. “I don’t like the way your side of the conversation sounded! What the hell is going on with my girl?!” Virginia questions. “I don’t know. Dannie wouldn’t tell me anything, just that I need to get to the hospital right away.” Bethany says. “Then that’s where we’re going! Come on, I’m driving.” Virginia says. Virginia and Bethany stand up and rush towards the exit.
At Bethany and Kaylie’s condo, Kaylie is now on a gurney and the EMTs wheel her out the front door as Dannie and Caleb look on. “This is all my fault…” Dannie mutters. “Come on, you can’t blame yourself.” Caleb says. “Can’t I? The person who did this to Kaylie was MY stalker! If I hadn’t been here they never would’ve attacked her! My God, how am I supposed to face Bethany?” Dannie wonders. “You can do it, and if you need any help, I’ll be there for you.” Caleb says. “Thank you.” Dannie says. “Any time.” Caleb says, before pulling Dannie into an embrace. At that moment, Don walks in. “Dannie!” Don calls out. Dannie turns to face Don. “Commissioner, thanks for coming.” Dannie says. “Of course! Is Kaylie okay?” Don asks. “I don’t know. The EMTs just took her to the hospital. When she left here she still had a pulse but it was weak.” Dannie says. “Oh no...do you have any idea who did this?!” Don asks. “It was Meow Cat.” Dannie reveals. “Meow Cat?! Kitty Cat’s old assistant?” Don asks. “That’s the one. I also think he may have been the one who’s been stalking me these last few months.” Dannie says. “Why would he do that?” Don questions. “I really don’t have a clue! Maybe its because of my resemblance to Katie Cat? The two of them used to work together, I don’t know if that would have anything to do with it.” Dannie says. “Either way, I’m going to put out an APB on that son of a bitch and make sure they catch him. He isn’t the brightest bulb in the box so he shouldn’t be able to elude us for long. In the meantime, I’m going to need you to give us a full statement of what went down here today.” Don says. “Do they really have to do that right now?” Caleb asks. “I’m sorry, who are you?” Don asks. “This is Caleb Cooper, he’s a colleague of mine at the hospital.” Dannie says. “And how does he fit into this?” Don asks. “I don’t. I came to ask Dannie if they’d like to join me for lunch which is when I found Meow Cat terrorizing them and Kaylie.” Caleb says. “He actually chased Meow Cat off. He tried to catch him but he didn’t have any luck.” Dannie says. “Well if you were a witness Mr. Cooper, I’m going to need you to provide a statement as well.” Don says. “I’d be happy to, I just don’t think its a good idea for Dannie to do so when they almost just died.” Caleb says. “Well I think we’ll let Dannie decide if they feel comfortable giving a statement right now or not.” Don says. “I’d rather just go to the hospital to make sure Kaylie is okay, if that’s okay with you anyways.” Dannie says. “Sure. I know this couldn’t have been easy for you, just come down to the station when you feel ready for it.” Don says. “Thank you.” Dannie says. “As for you Mr. Cooper, I’d like you to come as soon as possible. I don’t think you are nearly as traumatized as Dannie so there shouldn’t be any reason to prolong your part in all of this.” Don says. “I’d be happy to give a statement. Anything that will help but that psycho behind bars.” Caleb says. “No time like the presence then. Lets go.” Don says. “Fine with me.” Caleb says, before following Don out the door. Once Caleb and Don are gone, Dannie turns towards a picture of Bethany and Kaylie. “Please be okay...please…” Dannie cries. Dannie then wipes away tears and walks out the door, as the camera focuses on a picture of Bethany and Kaylie...
