Fantastic S5 Episode 122(6/12/24)
At Fantastic Medical, Dannie and Acerbi are walking through a corridor. “Have you heard from Lawrence at all recently?” Dannie wonders. “Not for a few months, thankfully. You are certain he kidnapped Ava?” Acerbi questions. “I overheard Andy and Rebecca talking about it with Dylan, Daisy, Ciara, and Brady earlier.” Dannie says. “Brady is back in town?” Acerbi asks. “Mmhm, and apparently another one of Lawrence's long list of victims.” Dannie says. “My god…I knew that Lawrence was dangerous, I learned that during my time working for him. I never anticipated him going this far. His one saving grace in my eyes was always the love he had for his family, but it would appear that even that was nothing more than a charade.” Acerbi says. “I'm sorry. I know there was a point in time where you loved him.” Dannie says. “That point has long since passed. The only feelings I have for that man now are contempt.” Acerbi says. “I have a feeling pretty much everyone agrees with you there. On a lighter note, I do have a bit of good news to share with you.” Dannie says. “Oh?” Acerbi asks. Dannie smiles. “I've been thinking, and I think I want to buy the hospital. I know that it's a huge responsibility and that I'd likely have to give up my career as a psychiatrist, but if it means saving the hospital, I'm willing to make the sacrifice.” Dannie says. “Oh…” Acerbi mutters. “Oh? I figured you'd be happy about this.” Dannie notes. “Don't get me wrong, I would feel elated if you bought the hospital.” Acerbi says. “Then what's the problem?” Dannie wonders. “I'm afraid you're too late. The hospital already found a buyer.” Acerbi reveals!
At Baronville, Lydia is sitting at a table in the cafeteria when Jenna walks over to her table. “Is this seat taken?” Jenna asks. “No. It's yours if you want it.” Lydia says. Jenna sits across from Lydia. “I don't remember seeing you around before.” Lydia notes. “That's because I just got here yesterday.” Jenna reveals. “Lucky you. Have you ever been incarcerated before?” Lydia wonders. Jenna shakes her head. “No. I was never the type, you know? Just goes to show what one stupid mistake could do to your life. What are you in for?” Jenna wonders. “Murder.” Lydia reveals. Jenna's face grows serious. “Wait, seriously?” Jenna asks. “I didn't do it.” Lydia clarifies. “Right, of course you didn't…” Jenna says. “I'm being serious! I was framed!” Lydia tells her. “Who would do something like that?” Jenna wonders. “The woman I'm being accused of murdering, that's who.” Lydia says. “So you're saying some woman killed herself and then framed you? That's sick!” Jenna notes. “Well, that isn't exactly how it went down. I did actually shoot her, but it was in self defense! She just set it up so that it looked like cold blooded murder.” Lydia says. “That's nuts.” Jenna says. “Tell me about it.” Lydia says. “So is anyone out there trying to prove that you're innocent?” Jenna wonders. “My fiance is, but there's only so much he can do. What about you? What are you in for?” Lydia questions. “Kidnapping, attempted murder…” Jenna lists. “You? You're right, you really don't look the type.” Lydia says. “I've been holding onto this hatred towards someone who hurt my family years ago, and I ended up releasing that hatred in a really unhealthy way. I ended up changing my mind last minute though and pleading guilty, so I think that ended up knocking off a few years of my sentence. I'm still gonna be in here for a while though…” Jenna says. “I'm sorry.” Lydia says. “Don't be, I brought this on myself.” Jenna says. “At least you recognize that, that's the first step in your road to recovery. Take it from someone who has plenty of experience in self destructing.” Lydia says. A guard walks over to them. “Ready to go?” The guard asks Lydia. “Going somewhere?” Jenna wonders. “I have a hearing to attend. If all goes well, I could end up being transferred to minimum security. I don't think that's going to happen, but I'm trying not to lose hope.” Lydia says. Jenna smiles. “Good luck.” Jenna says. “Thank you, and good luck to you as well. You seem like a nice girl, so hopefully you'll be able to get your life back together.” Lydia says. “I've got to survive prison life first.” Jenna notes. “I don't have too much experience in that regard, but from what little experience I do have, never lose sight of what you're holding on for. That'll be what helps you get through the days. Well, if I don't see you again, it was nice meeting you.” Lydia says. “Yeah, you too.” Jenna says. Lydia stands up and is escorted out by the guard.
In the kitchen of the Goo Castle, Victor walks in and discovers Brady in his wheelchair. “Oh my god, what the hell has that monster done to you?!” Victor asks. “I take it you talked to Ciara.” Brady assumes. “I just found her in the living room with Dylan and Daisy of all people, she filled me in on everything that has been going on. Lawrence Stanpatos has been holding you prisoner all these months?!” Victor asks. “Yup, all so he could use me as leverage to get Ciara to do whatever the hell he wants.” Brady says. “That son of a bitch. I'm telling you, if I can get my hands on him…” Victor says. “Dad, don't. If you ever have the chance to go after Lawrence, don't take it. We're all better off far away from that psycho.” Brady says. “Clearly he's no different from the rest of his charming family, excluding Rebecca and Dylan, who I understand got his memory back. Enough about Lawrence, what are we going to do about this leg situation?” Victor asks. “I'm gonna look into getting a fake one.” Brady says. “Well don't worry about money at all, I will make sure you get the best possible care.” Victor says. “Thanks, I really appreciate that.” Brady says. Victor pulls up a chair and sits across from Brady. “So how are you doing? Emotionally, I mean.” Victor wonders. “Better now that I'm home.” Brady says. “Speaking of, do you plan on sticking around?” Victor wonders. “For a little while, not permanently. Fantastic has way too many painful memories.” Brady says. “I know. These last few years have been pretty difficult for this family, the only saving grace being V.J.” Victor says. Brady raises an eyebrow. “What's this about V.J?” Brady asks. “Wait a minute, you don't know?” Victor asks. “Know what?” Brady questions. Victor smiles. “Brady, the most amazing miracle has happened. Your brother is alive!” Victor exclaims!
In the living room of the Goo castle, Ciara closes the doors leading out to the foyer as Dylan and Daisy look on. “There. Now we shouldn't have to worry about getting interrupted again.” Ciara says. “At least you got to fill Victor in about Brady.” Dylan says. “And tell him about how I've been screwing everyone over these last few months.” Ciara adds. “Not by choice.” Dylan argues. “Can we save this conversation about whether or not Ciara was in the wrong by helping Lawrence until later? We need to figure out what we're going to do about Lawrence!” Daisy states. “Andy and Rebecca are probably gonna be meeting with Lawrence any moment now.” Dylan notes. “Where they plan on handing over the remaining two diamond jewels to him and then letting him walk away. We can't let that happen!” Daisy says. “He needs to be stopped, and I'm not talking about locking him up.” Ciara says. “Lawrence is the head of the WPA, he'd be able to get his way out of anything. Even if Lawrence was removed as director, he has enough connections where he'd be able to find some sort of loophole.” Dylan notes. “That's not happening. You and I have been on this merry go round before with Andre. We get evidence against him and then by some miracle he evades the charges and is free to terrorize the people of this city some more. If we're gonna stop Lawrence, he's got to die!” Ciara states. Dylan nods. “Agreed.” Dylan says. “We know where Andy and Rebecca are meeting with Lawrence. We've just gotta make sure we're there in time and ready to take him out.” Ciara says. “It's not as simple as just taking him out.” Dylan says. “Why not? You're on board with killing him two seconds ago, now you're getting cold feet?” Daisy questions. “No Daisy, I'm not getting cold feet! I'm thinking about our daughter! If we crash this meeting and we kill Lawrence, we're never going to find out where Harper is!” Dylan points out. “Let's compromise. We show up at this meeting undetected, we incapacitate Lawrence and his goons, and then we take Lawrence to a warehouse somewhere and force him to tell us where Harper is! Once we get a location and we bring Harper home safely, then we kill the bastard.” Ciara says. “You think we might get some push back from Andy and Rebecca? They're gonna be there when all this goes down and Rebecca does have certain obligations as the police commissioner.” Dylan points out. “I love Rebecca, but taking down Lawrence comes first. If Andy and Rebecca try to stop us, we're just gonna have to incapacitate them too.” Ciara says. “Not exactly how I want this to go.” Dylan admits. “Well it might be the only way this can go where we come out on top! We're fighting a war, Dylan, and we're not gonna win this war unless we fight fire with fire! Lawrence likes playing dirty so much? Well we're gonna have to do the same, even if it means putting us on the opposite side of Andy and Rebecca.” Ciara says. Dylan nods. “I know you're right. Alright, well we aren't getting anything accomplished standing around here. Do you have any equipment we could use?” Dylan asks. “Stashed under my bed.” Ciara says. Dylan smiles. “That is very you.” Dylan says. “I'll go upstairs and grab it, I should only be a minute.” Ciara says. “Okay, sounds good.” Dylan says. Ciara walks out. “Should I go and start the car up?” Daisy wonders. “About that, I think you're gonna have to sit this one out.” Dylan says. “Seriously? My daughter is being held hostage by a maniac and you want me to, what, sit at home and knit?” Daisy questions. “I understand it's not ideal.” Dylan says. “Not only is it not ideal, it’s not happening! I refuse to sit around and wait for a phone call from you while Harper is Lawrence's prisoner!” Daisy snaps. “I've got an idea.” Dylan says. “If it involves me doing nothing, you know what I'm going to tell you to do with that idea, don't you?” Daisy asks. “It involves you helping in a way that doesn't put you in the line of fire.” Dylan says. “I'm listening.” Daisy says. “While Ciara and I are…acquiring Lawrence, maybe you could prepare a spot for us to bring him.” Dylan suggests. “A warehouse?” Daisy wonders. “I know that's what Ciara suggested, but I'm sure there's a room in the tunnels underneath the mansion where we could stash him. You know how to access the tunnels, don't you?” Dylan asks. “Of course I do. As for your idea, I suppose if I can't be abducting Lawrence with you, finding a suitable place to hold him and then prepping it for his arrival is the next best thing.” Daisy agrees. “Thank you.” Dylan says. Ciara walks in, carrying a large black bag. “You ready to go?” Ciara asks. “I am. What do you have in there?” Dylan questions. “A sniper rifle with tranquilizer darts, and a couple loaded pistols if necessary.” Ciara says. “Perfect! And while we're off dealing with Lawrence, Daisy is gonna prep a room in the tunnels underneath the mansion for him.” Dylan says. “Sounds like a plan! Let's head out.” Ciara says. “Good luck.” Daisy tells them. “Thanks, we'll need it.” Dylan says, before he follows Ciara out of the room…
At the foot bridge in the woods, Andy and Rebecca are standing around waiting for Lawrence. “I can't believe it's come to this. All this time we've spent trying to get to the jewels before Lawrence, and now we have to just hand them over to him!” Rebecca says. “This is only gonna be a temporary setback.” Andy says. “We don't know that! The second Lawrence has those jewels in hand, he's going to leave town for wherever he needs to be to put his plan into motion! And the problem with that is that we don't know where that place is because we don't even know what his plan is!” Rebecca notes. “We'll figure it out, but let me tell you what we're not gonna do. We aren't going to let that bastard get away with everything he's done, especially not when one of his crimes was messing with our daughter. One way or another, we're taking him down!” Andy says. “You know, I'm trying to go about all of this the right way. I'm trying to follow the law, my moral code, avoid making the mistake I made with Andre. But the longer this goes on, the more frustrated I become. Lawrence has been back in Fantastic for two years and we haven't been able to do anything to stop him, or even slow him down! Now here we are, about to give him what he wants most, allowing him to unleash whatever he has planned onto the world!” Rebecca says. Andy places both hands on Rebecca’s shoulders. “Hey, listen to me. I promise you that Lawrence will not win, okay? We're gonna stop him, I'll make sure of it.” Andy says. Rebecca smiles. “I’m so lucky to have you, you know that? I really don't know what I would do without you.” Rebecca says. “You'll never have to find out.” Andy says. Rebecca's face grows serious. “Andy, look.” Rebecca urges. Andy turns around, just in time to see Lawrence and three goons on the other side of the bridge, one of them holding Ava at gunpoint. Lawrence smiles when he makes eye contact with Andy and Rebecca. “Well, well, well! I'm so pleased that the two of you were able to make it! Now that we're all here, I can finally get what I've been after all these years.” Lawrence says.
At Fantastic Medical, Dannie and Acerbi both sit down on a bench in a corridor. “I don't understand. Yesterday was the first I had heard of the hospital even being up for sale, now you’re telling me that it already has a buyer? How did that happen so quickly?” Dannie wonders. “Come to find out that I didn't receive the full story when I first learned that the owner of the hospital was selling. As it turns out, the reason the owner is selling in the first place is because someone made an incredibly lucrative offer to buy it.” Acerbi reveals. “Who?” Dannie questions. “A company known as King International.” Acerbi tells them. “I can't say I've heard the name.” Dannie admits. “Neither have I, prior to learning they're the new owners of the hospital. I've done my research and the CEO of the company, Alastair King, sounds like a real piece of work. A shark in the boardroom, a dog in the bedroom.” Acerbi says. “How on earth would you even know what he's like in the bedroom?” Dannie questions. “Based on how many divorce settlements he has had to pay out due to being unfaithful! The man has four kids, each with a different mother. He’s been married more than double that amount!” Acerbi states. “Hard to believe that such a powerful businessman would even have the time to be such a sleaze.” Dannie notes. “And yet that type is usually the most likely to be an unfaithful swine.” Acerbi says. “So why would Alastair care about buying the hospital?” Dannie questions. “That's what I'm struggling to understand. King International doesn't seem to have a single connection to the field of medicine, so it makes no sense to me that Alastair would decide to buy an entire hospital.” Acerbi says. “Maybe he's looking to expand.” Dannie suggests. “That I could understand if this hospital was anywhere near close to home, but it isn't! King International does business in the United States, but it's based in an entirely different country!” Acerbi says. “Really? What country is it based out of?” Dannie wonders. Before Acerbi can answer, Scarlett approaches the two. “Dannie, is that you?” Scarlett asks. Dannie stands up and smiles. “Scarlett! What a nice surprise!” Dannie says. “Yeah, it’s great to see you again.” Scarlett tells them. “You too. What brings you by the hospital? Are you sick?” Dannie wonders. “Um, no, I'm actually here for a business meeting. You wouldn't happen to know where I can find a Doctor Olivia Acerbi, do you?” Scarlett asks. Acerbi stands up. “I'm Doctor Olivia Acerbi.” Acerbi states. “Terrific! Saves me the trouble of having to hunt you down.” Scarlett says. “I'm about to save you even more time. You and I do not have a meeting today.” Acerbi says. “Pretty sure we do.” Scarlett says. “We don't. In fact, I don't have any meetings scheduled with anyone named Scarlett.” Acerbi says. “You do have a meeting scheduled with the new owner of the hospital though, don't you?” Scarlett asks. “How do you know about that? The details regarding the sale of the hospital have not yet been released to the public!” Acerbi notes. “I'm not the public. My name is Scarlett King, and I'm the new owner of Fantastic Medical.” Scarlett reveals!
Outside Baronville, a guard leads a shackled Lydia towards the transport van. Once they reach the van, the guard opens the back doors. “Watch your step.” The guard tells Lydia. “Thanks for the tip.” Lydia sarcastically responds. As Lydia steps into the back of the van, the guard reaches for his gun! Before the guard can draw it, someone taps on his shoulder. The guard turns around and Lucas punches him! The guard collapses onto the ground and Lydia turns towards Lucas in shock. “Lucas?!” Lydia questions. “Looks like I made it just in time.” Lucas says. “What are you doing here?!” Lydia wonders. “I'm here to get you the hell out of here.” Lucas says. “You can't be serious! I was just about to go to court to possibly get transferred to minimum security!” Lydia points out. “You shouldn't be in any kind of prison, you're innocent! The whole reason I asked Reagan to arrange for this hearing was because I knew it would give me the opportunity to get you out of here.” Lucas says. “You can do that by proving my innocence!” Lydia argues. “No. After what happened with Gretta, I'm not taking anymore chances. Now I think I may have a way to prove that you didn't kill Mia in cold blood, but I'm gonna need you to trust me. That means going into hiding for a bit.” Lucas says. “That means you'll have to go into hiding too, seeing as you're the one who broke me out.” Lydia says. “I'm fine with that.” Lucas says. “Are you?” Lydia questions. “Yes.” Lucas says. “Well maybe I'm not. Maybe I'm not okay with any of this.” Lydia says. “And I respect that, but please, please just trust me on this. I promise I won't let you down.” Lucas says. Footsteps can be heard approaching. “Someone is coming, they're gonna figure out what happened. It's now or never.” Lucas tells Lydia. Lydia sighs. “Let's get out of here.” Lydia says. Lucas grabs Lydia's hand and the two run off together…
In the kitchen of the Goo Castle, Brady is in disbelief after hearing the story of V.J being alive. “Man, I can't believe Madeline would do that to her own daughter, all so she could have her own personal puppet! Where is she now?” Brady wonders. “She’s dead. V.J stopped obeying Madeline’s orders so Madeline was gonna try and kill him. Luckily, Serena got her hands on a gun and was able to shoot Madeline first.” Victor reveals. “She shot her own mother?” Brady asks. “She had no choice.” Victor notes. “So where are V.J and Serena now?” Brady wonders. “In Ireland. V.J was concerned that maybe he hadn’t completely overcome Madeline’s brainwashing, so your sister suggested this doctor who specializes in breaking through mental conditioning.” Victor says. “What’s the point? Madeline’s dead, she can’t control him no more!” Brady points out. “V.J was still having dreams of Madeline and he felt those dreams could possibly influence him. I was disappointed when he left but I do think it was for the best. When he comes home, he’ll hopefully be completely back to normal.” Victor says. “Yeah, I hope…Wow, I can’t believe how much I’ve missed.” Brady says. “All because of that bastard Lawrence. He is going to pay for this.” Victor says. “Like I said Dad, stay out of it.” Brady urges. “No, I know. I’m going to let the professionals do their jobs, I just hope they’re able to do it soon. Lawrence has been allowed to walk around this city causing chaos for far too long, it’s time someone finally brings him down for good.” Victor says. “And hopefully before he can put whatever his plan is into motion.” Brady says.
At the foot bridge out in the woods, Andy and Rebecca are on one side of the bridge as Lawrence, Ava, and Lawrence’s three goons stand on the other side. “I trust you brought the two jewels.” Lawrence says. “You’re not getting them until we get our daughter.” Andy tells him. “Don’t worry, I fully intend on holding up my end of the bargain.” Lawrence claims. “Then why bring so many goons with you? It’s almost as if you were planning on a fight.” Rebecca notes. “I only brought them along in case you attempted to double cross me. Even though I warned you of what would happen to Ava if you tried to, I still wouldn’t put it past either one of you.” Lawrence says. “Let’s just get this over with.” Rebecca says. Lawrence smiles. “I’d be delighted to. The sooner you give me the bracelet and the ring, the sooner I can finally put my plan into motion. Now, allow me to explain how this is all going to play out. I will walk Ava halfway across the bridge and you will meet me at that halfway point, with the jewels in hand. Once you give me the jewels, I’ll give you your daughter.” Lawrence says. “Mom, DON’T DO IT!” Ava yells. “Ava darling, please, the adults are talking.” Lawrence says. “Don’t worry sweetheart, everything is going to be alright. Lawrence isn’t going to win.” Rebecca says. “Too bad for you that I already have.” Lawrence says. Lawrence grabs Ava from one of his goons and then draws out his own gun. “Are you ready to make the exchange?” Lawrence asks. Rebecca nods. “Let’s do this.” Rebecca says, as she steps onto the bridge.
Nearby in the woods, Ciara pulls a sniper rifle out of a bag as Dylan looks on. “That thing is loaded with tranquilizers, not bullets, right?” Dylan asks. “Relax. As much as I’d like to blow his head off, I know we still need him alive to find your daughter.” Ciara says. Ciara looks through the scope and spots Lawrence holding his gun on Ava. “I see Lawrence. He has his gun trained on Ava, looks like he and Rebecca are about to make the exchange.” Ciara says. “Don’t fire until Ava is away from Lawrence. We don’t want to risk her getting injured in the crossfire.” Dylan says. “Oh my god, I’ve forgotten how annoying you can be! I know how to handle myself, Dylan! I spent years working for the WPA while you were a drooling vegetable in Andropov’s lab! Pretty sure I know what I’m doing!” Ciara says. “Jeez, sorry! I’ll keep my mouth shut.” Dylan says. “Yeah right. So Lawrence has three goons with him. Once Ava is back with Andy and Rebecca and Lawrence returns to the other side of the bridge, I’ll take out the goons and then I’ll focus on Lawrence.” Ciara says. “Better be quick. You don’t want to give those goons any time to react.” Dylan says. Ciara turns towards Dylan and glares. “Do you want me to turn this gun on you?” Ciara questions. “...No.” Dylan answers. “Then kindly shut the hell up!” Ciara demands, before returning her attention to Lawrence.
Back at the bridge, Lawrence, with Ava at gunpoint, and Rebecca both reach the middle of the bridge. Rebecca pulls out a small plastic bag containing the diamond ring and the diamond bracelet. “This is what you want, right? Take them, they’re yours.” Rebecca says. Lawrence takes the bag from Rebecca and then examines it for a moment. “Hm…congratulations on being one of the few who hasn’t tried to give me fake jewels, these ones appear to be authentic.” Lawrence says. “I wouldn’t do anything to endanger my daughter’s life.” Rebecca says. “That’s very wise of you. I suppose all that’s left is for me to hold up my end of the bargain.” Lawrence says, before releasing Ava.
In a separate part of the woods, Ciara is still spying on Lawrence through the scope. “Lawrence just released Ava.” Ciara reveals. “Then why aren’t you shooting yet?” Dylan asks. “Because I’m waiting for him to get a safe distance away from her still, dumb ass!” Ciara snaps. Ciara hears a loud thump behind her. Ciara turns around and discovers Dylan on the ground and Gizelle aiming a gun at her! “Hi Ciara, long time no talk.” Gizelle says. “Gizelle…” Ciara mutters. “You’re probably wondering what I’m doing out here when the real party is over by the bridge. Lawrence asked me to canvas the area to make sure Andy and Rebecca didn’t bring along any unwelcome guests, which appears to be what happened.” Gizelle says. “Hang on a second, I’m not-” Ciara begins to say. “Save it! You made a huge mistake coming out here today, and your BFF is gonna be the one to pay the price for it.” Gizelle says.
On the bridge, Ava walks over to Rebecca and hugs her. “Thank god you’re okay.” Rebecca tells her. “Thanks to you…” Ava says. “Sir!” One of the goons shouts. “Yes?” Lawrence asks. “We just got word that your son and Ciara Goo have been spotted in the area.” The goon reveals. Lawrence turns towards Rebecca. “I thought I told you to come alone.” Lawrence says. “I did! I have no idea why they’re here!” Rebecca shouts. “And you expect me to believe you? You broke the terms of our agreement!” Lawrence claims. “You got what you wanted, Lawrence! So just take the jewels and go!” Rebecca tells him. “And ignore the fact that you were planning some sort of an ambush? No, actions have consequences. I warned you of what would happen to Ava if you didn’t follow my terms, and now I’m going to make good on my threats.” Lawrence says. Lawrence aims his gun at Ava! “NO!” Andy screams. Andy pulls out his own gun which leads to Lawrence turning his gun on Andy and shooting him in the chest! “ANDY!” Rebecca screams!
