Fantastic S5 Episode 120(6/10/24)
At the Seashell Lounge, Scarlett raises her shot glass to Dannie and Kaylie. “To a wonderful night where we can drink all of our cares and troubles away! Cheers!” Scarlett exclaims. Dannie and Kaylie raise their shot glasses and then the three down their shots. Dannie immediately starts coughing. “You good there?” Scarlett asks. “Yeah, it’s just…it’s been a while since I’ve done shots.” Dannie says. “Well then I guess we better help you get back into the swing of things! Isn’t that right, uh…sorry, I’m a bit of a scatterbrain, what did you say your name was again?” Scarlett asks Kaylie. “Kaylie.” Kaylie answers. “Kaylie, yes, of course. How could I forget such an adorable name?” Scarlett wonders. “No clue, but don’t let it happen again.” Kaylie jokes. “I’ll do my best. So tell me a bit about you ladies.” Scarlett urges. “For starters, I’m not a lady. I identify as non binary.” Dannie says. Scarlett smiles. “Good for you, being out and proud like that! I’m always happy when I meet someone who is open about who they are, what they are. So many people don’t have that luxury out of fear of being judged.” Scarlett says. “I was really lucky. My mom has always been so accepting of different kinds of people, I never really had anything to worry about when I told her I was gay. It was especially easy because it turned out she kinda already knew.” Kaylie says. “Me being gay wasn’t too big of a deal because it was the least of my dad’s concerns about me.” Scarlett says. “Did you get into trouble often?” Dannie questions. “It was more that I knew how to have fun while the rest of my family was strictly business, particularly my dad. I don’t think fun was a word that was ever in his vocab, and it’s why he’s always worrying about me and what I might be getting into. Stupid, right? I’m a grown woman, he doesn’t have to worry about me anymore.” Scarlett says. “I don’t think it’s stupid. We’re always gonna worry about our kids, no matter how old they are.” Kaylie says. “Are you a mum?” Scarlett wonders. “Yeah, I have a four year old boy at home.” Kaylie says. “What’s his name?” Scarlett wonders. “It’s Issac.” Kaylie reveals. “Do you have pictures?” Scarlett wonders. Kaylie smiles. “Of course I have pictures! Just a sec.” Kaylie says. Kaylie scrolls through her phone and then hands it to Scarlett. “Here you go.” Kaylie says. “Aww! How precious! You must be such a proud mama.” Scarlett says. “I am. Issac was the single best thing that has ever happened to me, nothing will ever compare to being his mom.” Kaylie says. “I can see that, you practically glow when you talk about him. Kaylie, would you mind grabbing us some more shots? Actually, just ask for the whole bottle. Tell the bartender to put it on my tab.” Scarlett says. “I don’t know. We’ve got to drive home after this, we probably shouldn’t have anymore.” Kaylie says. “I’m in agreement with Kaylie. This night has been fun so I’d rather it not be ruined by a DWI.” Dannie says. “Don’t worry about it! I can arrange for a car to drop you both off at your respective homes after this. And if you aren’t comfortable accepting a ride from me, I’d be more than happy to pay for a rideshare for you both.” Scarlett says. Kaylie turns towards Dannie. “I am kinda having a lot of fun.” Kaylie says. “Alright, sounds good to me.” Dannie says. Scarlett claps her hands together. “Perfect! Now about those drinks, Kaylie…” Scarlett says. “Coming right up.” Kaylie says, before standing up and walking away. Scarlett turns towards Dannie. “She seems nice.” Scarlett says. “Yeah, she is. You seem nice too.” Dannie says. “Maybe just a little on the quirky side.” Scarlett says. “Quirky is a good thing!” Dannie argues. “Some people wouldn’t agree. I really am having a good time with you and Kaylie though, I’m glad I met up with you both.” Scarlett says. “Yeah, me too. So you said you were new in town?” Dannie asks. “Just flew in tonight.” Scarlett reveals. “And your first order of business was to go clubbing?” Dannie asks. “I like meeting new people, they often help me figure out the lay of the land whenever I travel somewhere new. Over the years, I’ve found that the best place to meet new people is at clubs, so here I am!” Scarlett exclaims. “How are you liking Fantastic so far?” Dannie wonders. “I admit it took me a bit to come to any conclusions, but after sitting and chatting with you and Kaylie, I think I’m gonna like it here.” Scarlett says. “Does that mean you plan on sticking around?” Dannie wonders. “My stay is open ended. My dad made a pretty big investment here and he’s asked me to oversee it.” Scarlett says. “Color me intrigued. What kind of investment?” Dannie wonders. “Sorry, I can’t really talk about it. Confidentiality and all that good stuff. But I promise that whenever I can officially talk about it, you’ll be my first call.” Scarlett says. Kaylie returns carrying a bottle of tequila. “One bottle of tequila coming right up!” Kaylie says. “Tequila?! Isn’t that a bit on the stronger side?” Dannie asks. “So what if we’re a bit hungover in the morning? This is our first chance to have fun in a long, long time, and it’ll probably be our last chance in a long, long time! I’m not passing it up!” Kaylie says. “That’s the spirit!” Scarlett says, as she takes the bottle of tequila and starts pouring more shots.
In Brady’s hospital room in Monte Carlo, Rebecca is on the phone as Andy and Brady look on. Rebecca quickly lowers the phone and turns towards Andy. “It’s Lawrence! He says he has Ava!” Rebecca tells Andy. “What?! Put it on speaker!” Andy urges. Rebecca puts the phone on speaker. “Rebecca my dear, are you still there? Surely you heard what I said.” Lawrence says. “You hurt one hair on my daughter’s head, and I swear to god I will hunt you down and kill you with my bare hands!” Andy growls. “Empty promises.” Lawrence says. “How do we even know that you have Ava? For all we know, you could be bluffing!” Rebecca notes. “I thought you might say that. Check your messages, you’ll get the proof you’re looking for.” Lawrence says. Rebecca looks at her messages and sees a picture of Ava tied up. “We told her to be extra careful…” Rebecca notes. “What is it with these young people and never doing what they’re told? Oh well, hopefully Ava has learned her lesson for next time, assuming there ever is a next time.” Lawrence says. “Touch her and you are a dead man!” Rebecca threatens. “Oh calm yourself Rebecca, I don’t want harm to befall Ava anymore than you do. With that said, I will hurt her if I need to. You know it’s funny, this all could have been avoided had you not gone to Monte Carlo.” Lawrence says. “What are you talking about?” Andy questions. “I knew that the two of you would ride to Dylan and Daisy’s rescue. Why do you think I made it so easy for you to track me to Monte Carlo? I wanted you to follow me there. With you both out of Fantastic City, abducting Ava would be a simple task.” Lawrence says. “What do you want?!” Rebecca questions. “You know exactly what I want. If you ever want to see your precious daughter again, you are going to give me the two remaining diamond jewels. Don’t even bother pretending that you don’t have the bracelet. We both know that if Lydia were to surrender the real diamond bracelet to anyone, it would be you and your poor man’s version of the avengers. I understand you’ll need some time to think this over, so I’ll give you until shortly after you return to Fantastic City. Once that point in time has arrived, I’ll contact you again and we’ll arrange for a time and place to meet for the exchange. I should warn you that there will be consequences for not playing by my rules. If you don’t agree to surrender the bracelet and the ring to me, Ava will die. If you agree to give me the ring and the bracelet but then come to the meeting with the intent of double crossing me, Ava will die. Given that your daughter’s life is at stake, I really don’t think you want to be planning anything other than giving me those last two jewels. I’ll be in touch, and please, give my best to my son.” Lawrence says, before hanging up. “What are we supposed to do?” Andy wonders. “We have to give him the jewels!” Rebecca shouts. “We don’t know what he’s planning to do with the jewels!” Andy points out. “But we do know what he’s planning to do if we don’t give him the jewels! We can’t risk it! Our daughter comes first, always!” Rebecca says. “Why do you both keep talking about jewels?” Brady wonders. “You’ve been out of the loop for a while, so you don’t know. The jewels that Madeline Masters tried to use to take over the world years ago are back in play, and Lawrence is after them.” Rebecca reveals. “Weren’t they destroyed in an explosion?” Brady asks. “They weren’t.” Andy tells him. “Okay, and what was this I heard Lawrence say about Lydia? He’s not talking about Lydia Masters, is he? She died!” Brady points out. “No she didn’t. Lawrence faked Lydia’s death. He, Doctor Andropov, and Mia Goo held Lydia hostage on Stanpatos Isle for over two years.” Rebecca says. “Mia Goo is supposed to be dead too!” Brady points out. “Well she is now, but she wasn’t when Acerbi shot her. She survived and she ended up throwing in with Lawrence.” Andy says. “Holy crap. I knew Lawrence wasn’t some eccentric old man like he pretended to be, but I had no idea he was this dangerous!” Brady says. “He’s incredibly dangerous, which is why he needs to be stopped.” Rebecca says.
In a warehouse, Ava is tied to a chair with a blindfold over her eyes. “Is someone going to tell me what the hell is going on?! HELLO?!” Ava questions. Someone removes the blindfold from her eyes and Ava looks up to see who it is. “Uncle Lawrence?” Ava asks. Lawrence smiles down at her. “Hello, my darling Ava! It’s so nice to see you again.” Lawrence tells her…
At the Seashell Lounge, Dannie, Scarlett, and Kaylie are still sitting on the sofa. “Okay, is everyone ready for this?” Dannie asks. “Yup, go ahead.” Scarlett says. “Oh my god, this is gonna be so good.” Kaylie says. Dannie picks up their phone, makes a call, and then puts the call on speaker. “Hello?” Victor can be heard answering. “Hi, this is Carol from Fantastic and Stylish Wigs. How do you do this evening?” Scarlett asks. “I’m sorry, who did you say this was again?” Victor questions. “Carol from Fantastic and Stylish Wigs.” Scarlett repeats. “Why are you calling me?” Victor asks. “You were referred to us by a friend of yours who said you could use our services.” Scarlett claims. “Which friend?!” Victor questions. Scarlett turns towards Dannie. “What name did you tell me to give him again?” Scarlett whispers. “Bethany Wilson.” Dannie whispers back. “Wait, you don’t think this will cause problems between them, will it?” Kaylie asks. “I’ll set the record straight with him later.” Dannie says. “Uh, a Miss. Bethany Wilson referred you to us, sir. She said your shiny head could really use some covering up.” Scarlett says. Dannie laughs. “I did NOT tell you to say that last part!” Dannie whispers. “Is someone else there with you?!” Victor questions. Scarlett places her finger over her mouth, signaling for Dannie to shush. “No sir, no one else is here with me.” Scarlett lies. “Well I can assure you that Bethany Wilson is no friend of mine! I can also assure you that your services are not required!” Victor snaps. “Are you sure? We have a lovely assortment of different wigs and toupees. I’m sure we could find something absolutely PERFECT for you, sir! You’ll never have to worry about anyone seeing their reflection in the back of your head ever again!” Scarlett says. The phone hangs up. “Did he just-bitch hung up on me! Rude!” Scarlett complains. “I told you that you wouldn’t be able to keep him going for too long.” Dannie says. “You also told me that he’d be a ton of fun to prank call, which you were right about. Got anybody else I could try?” Scarlett asks. “Actually, I should probably be going.” Kaylie says, as she stands up. “Oh no! Come on, stay for just a bit longer!” Scarlett urges. “I wish I could, but I really want to be home in time to tuck Issac into bed.” Kaylie says. “That makes sense. Well hopefully I’ll see you around again sometime soon.” Scarlett says. Kaylie smiles. “Count on it.” Kaylie says. “I guess I better call you that ride then.” Scarlett says. “Don’t worry about it. I don’t want Dannie to feel like they have to leave just because I am.” Kaylie says. Scarlett turns towards Dannie. “Did you want to stay for a little while longer?” Scarlett wonders. “I mean, I wouldn’t be opposed to the idea.” Dannie says. “Great!” Scarlett exclaims. “There you have it. I’ll call a ride share.” Kaylie says. “Well it was lovely meeting you, Kaylie.” Scarlett says. “You too. See you around, Scarlett.” Kaylie says. “Bye.” Scarlett responds. Kaylie walks out. Scarlett turns towards Dannie. “So, what’s on the agenda now? Anymore prank calls?” Scarlett wonders. “I’m not sure I want to alienate any more members of my family. Uncle Victor probably isn’t going to talk to me for a week after this.” Dannie says. “But it was totally worth it, right?” Scarlett asks. Dannie nods. “Oh yeah, totally!” Dannie agrees. Scarlett smiles. “What is it?” Dannie wonders. “I was just trying to think of the last time I’ve had this much fun. Nothing else is coming to mind.” Scarlett says. “One prank call somehow trumped all of the other nights out you’ve had in your life?” Dannie asks. “It wasn’t the call, it was the company. You and Kaylie are a lot of fun, you especially.” Scarlett says. Dannie smiles. “I’m flattered.” Dannie says. “It’s the truth. If everyone else in Fantastic is half as enjoyable as the two of you, I’ve got a feeling that I’m really going to enjoy my time here.” Scarlett says.
In Monte Carlo, Dylan and Daisy come into Brady’s hospital room and find Brady in a wheelchair with Andy and Rebecca standing behind him. “Hey, we just wanted to check in and see how Brady was doing.” Dylan says. “I’m doing alright. I’d be doing better with two legs.” Brady says. “We were actually just going to come and find you. The three of us are heading back to Fantastic now and I figured you would probably want to come back with us.” Rebecca says. “Good, because Daisy and I want to get back as soon as possible.” Dylan says. “We’re worried Lawrence could have done something with Harper. Obviously he didn’t just leave her alone at the mansion all this time.” Daisy says. “Last we checked, Harper was with the nanny. That was when we were just starting to realize that the two of you had gone missing.” Andy says. “I’m having my doubts she’s still there.” Dylan says. “I don’t blame you, especially after Lawrence’s latest stunt…” Rebecca says. “What has he done now?” Dylan wonders. “He just called me, he’s kidnapped Ava.” Rebecca reveals. “What?! Why?” Dylan questions. “As leverage. He wants Andy and I to give him the other two diamond jewels or else he’s going to kill her.” Rebecca says. “You aren’t actually going to do it, are you?” Daisy wonders. “My daughter’s life is at stake, of course I’m going to do it.” Rebecca says. “But if Lawrence gets his hands on the other two jewels, the entire world could be at stake!” Daisy points out. “That’s a bridge we’ll have to cross once we get there. Right now, my only concern is bringing Ava home safely.” Rebecca says. “Shocker! How quickly your concern for the world evaporates when someone you care about specifically is in danger.” Daisy notes. “Can we not do this right now?! We’re all on the same side! Lawrence is out to get every single one of us and we need to act as a united front if we’re going to stop him.” Andy says. “Andy is right. We can’t afford any infighting, all it’ll do is make us vulnerable for Lawrence’s next attack.” Dylan says. “Thanks for the support.” Andy says. “Of course. What are friends for?” Dylan asks. Andy raises an eyebrow. “Friends?” Andy questions. “Assuming you’d even want to be my friend again. I’ve got some news for everyone. While Daisy and I were locked in that cell, I got my memory back.” Dylan reveals. “All of it?!” Rebecca questions. “All of it. I remember everything about everyone, including the both of you.” Dylan tells them. Rebecca runs over to Dylan and hugs him. “Finally some good news!” Rebecca exclaims. “Does that mean you’re not mad at me for all the crap I’ve pulled these last few years?” Dylan asks. “Mad at you? I don’t care about any of that anymore! My brother is finally back, that’s all that matters!” Rebecca says. “The same goes for me, you know. I don’t care about any of that other stuff, I care about having my best friend back. It’s been a long nine years without having you to talk to.” Andy says. “Has it really been nine years?” Dylan asks. “Nine years since you supposedly died, yeah. That was the last time any of us saw the real Dylan Stanpatos.” Andy notes. “Well it’s good to be back in any case, and I want you both to know that I’ll do anything you need me to do to help bring your daughter home.” Dylan says. “I’m not sure there’s anything you can do. I think the only option right now is to give Lawrence what he wants.” Rebecca says. “Even if you do that, it’s only gonna be a temporary victory for him. One way or another, we are going to stop him.” Dylan says.
In the warehouse, a tied up Ava is looking up at Lawrence. “You did this to me?!” Ava questions. “I’m sorry it’s come to this, truly. You know how fond I am of you.” Lawrence says. “Then why kidnap me?!” Ava questions. “Your parents left me with very little choice. You see, they have something that I want and they’re refusing to share it with me. Unfortunately I needed to take drastic measures in order to get them to cooperate. I can assure you that it’s nothing personal, I still adore you just as much as I always have.” Lawrence says. “Well the feeling isn’t mutual!” Ava snaps. “Ava! How could you say such a thing? I was under the impression that you and I have developed a special bond!” Lawrence says. “So wasn’t I, until mom and dad told me what a monster you are.” Ava says. “You can’t believe anything they say, they are incredibly bias towards me.” Lawrence claims. “You were the one who faked Lydia’s death and kept her prisoner for two years, you killed that poor Zoey woman, and then you did something to uncle Dylan and Daisy!” Ava notes. “Everything I have done has been for the benefit of this family.” Lawrence says. “How can you say that?! How the hell does kidnapping and murdering people benefit this family?!” Ava questions. “I wouldn’t expect you to understand any of this right now, but you will in due time.” Lawrence says. “I don’t want to understand any of this! If I did, I’d be just as sick as you are!” Ava snaps. “How could you say that? Since the moment you returned to Fantastic, I have done nothing but look after you! This is the thanks I get for being a loving and attentive uncle?” Lawrence asks. “You were never interested in me, you were interested in a pawn!” Ava yells. “I never thought of you as a pawn! I thought of you as having extraordinary potential, potential which I fear your parents have squandered by polluting your head with these terrible lies!” Lawrence says. “Which part of any of this was a lie?!” Ava asks. “The part where they painted me as some heartless monster just to support their false narrative!” Lawrence claims. “Nothing my parents have said is a false narrative, it’s the truth!” Ava argues. Lawrence sighs. “Oh Ava, it pains me to see that you’ve fallen victim to the propaganda your parents have been spreading about me.” Lawrence says. “I’d say that I’m sorry to disappoint you, but I’m really not.” Ava says. “No matter. Your parents understand that their only hope of ever seeing you again is by giving me what I’m after. Once they do, I am finally going to be able to initiate my plan and you will soon understand how important this is to our family. A new age is upon us, and you are privileged to be able to witness it. Let’s just hope your parents don’t do anything to jeopardize your place in my future plans.” Lawrence says, as Ava nervously looks on…
In Brady’s hospital room in Monte Carlo, Rebecca is on the phone as Andy and Brady look on.
