Fantastic S5 Episode 110(5/15/24)
At the Fantastic P.D, Kaylie is sitting behind her desk at the squad room, filling out paperwork. Kaylie looks over and sees a photographed selfie of her and Bethany sitting on the edge of her desk. After gazing at the photo for a moment, Kaylie opens a drawer, picks up the photo, and then drops it in the drawer before closing it. “I can’t have that distracting me. I think about Bethany enough when I’m off the clock, I can’t afford to do it while I’m on the clock.” Kaylie mutters to herself. Dannie and Ava walk in and approach Kaylie’s desk. “Kaylie, I’m glad you’re here.” Dannie says. “Dannie, Ava, what’s up? Is everything okay?” Kaylie asks. “We don’t know.” Ava admits. “My father has disappeared.” Dannie reveals. “Disappeared? Are you sure?” Kaylie asks. “I looked everywhere for him and couldn’t find him. I also found his floor on the phone in one of the rooms at the castle.” Ava tells her. “And you’re sure you looked everywhere?” Kaylie asks. “I’m positive! Me and my boyfriend searched the entire house and there wasn’t a single sign of him. What’s even weirder is that his car was still parked in the driveway.” Ava notes. “We wouldn’t be bothering you if we didn’t truly believe there was cause for concern, Kaylie. My father doesn’t usually just disappear. If he’s going out somewhere, he’ll usually let someone know. He definitely wouldn’t just forget his phone on the floor and then never come back for it! That doesn’t sound like him at all!” Dannie says. “Do you have any idea what could’ve happened to him?” Kaylie asks. “I have some theories, none I want to be true.” Dannie says. “What is it?” Kaylie wonders. “Jenna, that girl I was dating…” Dannie says. “The one Bethany hired to date you.” Kaylie adds. “Wait, Aunt Bethany did what?!” Ava asks. “Let’s just focus on your grandpa for now, Ava.” Kaylie says. “You were the one who brought up Aunt Bethany.” Ava points out. “Dannie, why did you bring up Jenna?” Kaylie wonders. “Because it turned out that she’s been holding a grudge against my father for decades, and I’m worried she may have finally acted on it.” Dannie admits.
In the basement of the power plant, King Beast stirs awake and discovers Jenna standing over him. “You…” King Beast mumbles. Jenna smiles. “Morning, sleepy head.” Jenna says. “Is it morning?” King Beast wonders. “Eh, more like early evening. I’m sure it probably feels like morning, you did get plenty of sleep.” Jenna notes. “You…you drugged me, didn’t you?” King Beast asks. Jenna gasps. “Me? I wouldn’t do that to you! Nah, someone else took care of that for me.” Jenna tells him. “Why…why would you do this?” King Beast wonders. “Why would you murder my mother? If you can give me an honest answer, maybe I’ll give you one.” Jenna says. “Jenna, I’m…so, so sorry! I never meant for anything to happen to your mother.” King Beast says. “How can you say that when you didn’t even know who she was? My mother was just another ant in your corrupted little kingdom that you stepped on! You didn’t know her! You certainly don’t give a damn about her!” Jenna argues. “That’s not true! Now that I know what I have done to you, I truly do feel terrible! Even despite what you were planning to do to Dannie, I still feel sympathy towards you, and I am willing to do absolutely anything to atone for the pain that I have caused you.” King Beast says. “I’m sorry, but back it up just a sec! Despite what I was planning to do to Dannie? Let’s get something straight here! Whatever I was planning to do to Dannie pales in comparison to the damage you’ve done to my life! You don’t get to sit there and act like I’m some heinous person after all the crap you’ve pulled in your life! And unlike the rest of the idiots in this city, I don’t care that you married Queen Goo! I don’t care that you became besties with Dylan Stanpatos back when he was one of the world’s best heroes! It doesn’t redeem you in my eyes! It’d be like redeeming Hitler, it isn’t possible!” Jenna states. “So you think this is the way to properly punish me for my crimes?” King Beast asks. “It’s the only way! The law did nothing to punish you! The people in this poor excuse for a city did NOTHING to punish you! You have been allowed to go on your merry way for the past twenty years, but it ends here!” Jenna states. Jenna leans in close to King Beast’s face. “I won’t stop until you truly understand the meaning of pain. By the time I’m done, you will wish you had been punished all those years ago.” Jenna threatens.
At the Goo Castle, Andy is standing in the living room looking up at Queen Goo’s portrait. “I don’t know what to do, Mom. Lawrence killed Zoey Kellers, there’s no doubt in my mind about that. And if he’s capable of murdering her for a necklace, god only knows what else he is capable of. We need to find a way to take him down for good, we can’t let this go on. But how are we gonna do that? Especially if Ciara is working with him?” Andy wonders. Dylan and Daisy walk in. “Hey, sorry to interrupt.” Dylan says. Daisy looks up at Queen Goo’s portrait. “Talking to my old friend, I see.” Daisy observes. “What are you two doing here?” Andy wonders. “We need to talk about the whole diamond jewel thing.” Dylan says. “I need to talk to you too. Your father has gone too far.” Andy says. “What do you mean?” Dylan asks. “Zoey Kellers is dead.” Andy reveals. “What?!” Daisy asks. “Mmhm. Looks like someone snapped her neck, any guesses who it could’ve been?” Andy asks. “Lawrence…” Dylan mutters. “That’s right, Lawrence! That son of a bitch murdered a woman to get his hands on the necklace!” Andy snaps. “And he didn’t even mention it to me…” Dylan says. “You’re upset your psychotic daddy didn’t mention he killed someone?” A confused Andy asks. “What I mean is that he didn’t mention he had the necklace! I asked him a little while ago if he had made any progress on finding the diamond necklace and he told me no!” Dylan reveals. “That’s actually why Dylan and I stopped by tonight. We’re worried that Lawrence could be onto him and we don’t know what to do.” Daisy reveals.
At the Stanpatos mansion, Lawrence and Ciara are face to face in the living room. “I’m not sure I appreciate your tone!” Lawrence says. “I don’t really care! I can’t do this anymore, Lawrence! It was bad enough when you had my brother’s leg cut off because you thought I had betrayed you by giving you a fake bracelet, but now you’ve had someone killed? I never signed on to be an accessory to murder!” Ciara tells him. “You aren’t. I never admitted anything to you.” Lawrence points out. “I am knowingly working with the man who killed Zoey and I’m not doing a damn thing to stop him, that makes me complicit!” Ciara argues. Lawrence smiles. “If it makes you feel any better, I’m not exactly giving you much choice when it comes to working with me, now am I? It’s your only chance at rescuing your poor, one legged brother!” Lawrence notes. “This isn’t funny!” Ciara snaps. “You’re right, I don’t find this at all amusing. I have been searching for these three jewels for years, and so far, I have only been able to get my hands on one of them! Andy and Rebecca have the ring, and I’m guessing by now they may have even found the bracelet, and all I have found is the necklace!” Lawrence shouts. “And how would you have managed that? Zoey Kellers had the necklace. God, I never should’ve taken that meeting with her! You might as well say I’m the reason she’s dead! If I hadn’t approached her with your deal, she might still be alive! She’d be in prison, but she’d be alive!” Ciara notes. “If not you, another one of my operatives would have been more than happy to arrange the deal between Miss. Kellers and myself.” Lawrence says. “I can’t keep doing this! This search for the three jewels…all it’s done is cause bloodshed, and it’s only gonna lead to more down the road! I’m not gonna have a hand in any more deaths, especially not the deaths of my close friends!” Ciara says. “Do you think the lives of your close friends are in danger?” Lawrence wonders. “We both know how this ends! You’re on a collision course with Andy, Rebecca, and everybody else who opposes your search for those three jewels! When the time comes, you’re gonna decide to get rid of anyone you see as an obstacle, and I don’t want any part in that! I’m DONE!” Ciara shouts. “No, you are done when I say you’re done. Your brother’s life depends on it.” Lawrence points out…
At the Fantastic P.D, Kaylie, Dannie, and Ava have now moved to the interrogation room. “So Jenna’s adoptive mom is dead and King Beast had a role in it? Wow. I remember you mentioning there was some bad blood between Jenna and your dad, but I had no idea it was this serious.” Kaylie admits. “It was a terrible situation. Despite what Jenna was planning to do to me, she has every right to be upset with King Beast.” Dannie says. “But if Jenna is the reason Grandpa has disappeared, that’s no excuse!” Ava adds. “Yeah, of course. Kaylie, I know that usually you can’t consider someone missing until they’ve been out of touch for 48 hours, but could you make an exception?” Dannie asks. Kaylie smiles. “Yeah, of course. I’ll tell you what, I’ll head over to Jenna’s place and see if I can get anything out of her.” Kaylie says. “I’m sorry, I don’t actually know where Jenna lives. I’ve never been over her place.” Dannie admits. “I’m a cop, you think I can’t figure it out on my own?” Kaylie playfully asks. Dannie smiles. “Sorry, of course you can.” Dannie says. Kaylie places her hand on Dannie’s arm. “Hey, don’t worry about a thing. We’re going to find your Dad and we will make sure he comes home safely.” Kaylie assures Dannie. “Thank you. I really appreciate your help.” Dannie says. “Don’t mention it. I’ll be in touch.” Kaylie says, before walking out. “What do we do now?” Ava wonders. “The best thing for us to do would be to go back to the castle and see if my Dad has popped back up. For all we know, he could have gone back home looking for his phone by now.” Dannie says. “Right…good idea.” Ava says. “Kaylie is right, you know. No matter where Dad is, we’re going to find him.” Dannie says. “I know. Grandpa is probably one of the strongest people I know, he can survive anything.” Ava says. Dannie smiles. “Exactly. Come on, let’s head home.” Dannie says. Dannie puts their arm around Ava and the two exit the interrogation room.
“What exactly is your plan for me, Jenna? Are you going to kill me?” King Beast wonders. “Wouldn’t you like to know.” Jenna responds. “You know my family is probably looking for me. I’m sure by now that they’ve noticed I’m gone.” King Beast notes. “And you think they’ll be able to find you?” Jenna asks. “The truth is out, people know that you despise me for what happened to your mother. If I go missing, the first thought that will pop into people’s heads is that you’ve done something to me.” King Beast says. “But I’m a nurse! I don’t hurt people, I save them! Unlike you.” Jenna says. “Then what do you call this?” King Beast questions. “Justice! I’m not doing this to some innocent civilian, I’m doing this to a corrupt dictator that should’ve paid years ago!” Jenna states. “Do you think the police will see it that way?” King Beast wonders. “I really don’t care how the police see it. I don’t plan on getting caught.” Jenna tells him. “Like you said earlier, Jenna. You’re a nurse, you aren’t a master criminal! Do you really think you’ll be able to cover your tracks well enough where the police won’t be able to connect any of this back to you? The moment people realize I’m missing, you’ll become a person of interest!” King Beast states. “They still won’t be able to find you.” Jenna argues. King Beast shakes his head. “What?” Jenna questions. “It’s just…it’s heartbreaking to see what’s happened to you. Did I do this? Did I turn you into the woman standing before me?” King Beast wonders. “Yeah, you did! When my mother died, it broke me! And everything only got worse after that! Everything with my father, having to work two jobs just to afford an education to give myself the life I thought I deserved!” Jenna recalls. “And now you’re throwing away all of that hard work!” King Beast notes. “I’m not throwing away anything!” Jenna snaps. “You’ve kidnapped me! Do you really think you can just go back to your life and pretend like nothing ever happened?! Even if the police didn’t catch you, I’m not so sure you’d be able to live with what you’ve done!” King Beast says. “Oh really? Why’s that?” Jenna wonders. “Because I think underneath all of that anger, there is a good person buried inside you. I don’t think you really want to hurt me, I think maybe you feel as if you have to, to get justice for your mom. I understand that, believe me.” King Beast says. “No, you don’t!” Jenna snaps. “You don’t think I know what it’s like to feel like a part of you has been taken by someone? I know it isn’t the same thing, but I spent a decade in captivity, with the whole world thinking I was dead! When I finally got home, I remember feeling so angry towards the people responsible. But you know what? I knew that revenge wouldn’t give me back the years I had lost with my family, just like revenge isn’t going to bring your mom back. She was an activist, wasn’t she? Do you really think this is the kind of justice she would approve of?” King Beast wonders. “SHUT UP!” Jenna shouts. “You only say that because you know I’m right! From what you told me, your mother was a wonderful person! She had to have been to oppose my disaster regime! She would not want you to go to these lengths, she would want you to move on and live the life you deserve, the life she wanted for you!” King Beast says. “You don’t know what my mother would want!” Jenna snaps. “Maybe not for sure, but I’m guessing that you do. Do you think that your mother would approve of what you’re doing today? Do you think she would give her blessing to what you’re trying to pass off as justice? Look me in the eye and tell me that you think this is what your mother would want!” King Beast demands. The door on the other side of the room opens and Janice walks in, wearing a wedding dress. “Trust me, this is EXACTLY what her mother wants.” Janice says. “Janet?” A confused King Beast asks. “Who’s Janet?” Jenna questions. “Don’t pay any attention to him, he’s clearly confused!” Janice says. “I…I don’t understand, how do you know Jenna? And why are you dressed like that?” King Beast wonders. “I can answer both of those questions. You see, I’m Jenna’s biological mother. Also, my real name isn’t Janet, it’s Janice Reynolds.” Janice reveals. “As in Don Reynolds? My god, you’re the woman who tried to kill Josephine Acerbi all those years ago!” King Beast realizes. “Guilty! This is actually the same building I once held Josephine prisoner in. Coming back here made me feel really nostalgic.” Janice admits. “So then you’re working with Jenna. In fact, I’m willing to bet that this whole thing was your idea.” King Beast assumes. “I might have offered a suggestion or two.” Janice says. “Now back to one of my original questions, why are you wearing a wedding dress?” King Beast questions. “Isn’t it obvious? I’m getting married…to you!” Janice announces!
“If Lawrence knows you’re double crossing him, you’ve got a big problem on your hands.” Andy says. “You’re telling me. I offered to get Daisy out of town so that Lawrence can’t find her, but she wouldn’t listen. We were hoping maybe you might have some suggestions.” Dylan says. “I actually think that’s a pretty good idea. I think maybe you should both leave town.” Andy says. “No! We aren’t going to let Lawrence run us out of town!” Daisy says. “Would you rather you both end up like Zoey Kellers? Because that is exactly what will happen if Lawrence finds out you’re both plotting against him!” Andy says. “He hasn’t made any moves yet.” Dylan notes. “He’s probably still trying to confirm his suspicions. He could be doing that right now, he could’ve had you followed here! I get that neither of you want to go anywhere, that you both want to see Lawrence get taken down, but you need to think about Harper here.” Andy says. “We are thinking about Harper! Her grandfather is a homicidal maniac and he needs to be stopped! Lysandros is sitting in a prison cell because of him, Zoey Kellers is dead, when is it supposed to end?” Daisy questions. “Rebecca and I are doing our best to make sure it ends soon.” Andy says. “So you and Rebecca get to continue going to war with Lawrence but Dylan and I have to leave town with our tails in between our legs? How does that make any sense? We have a daughter, but so don’t you! Or are you not thinking of Ava while you’re pitting yourselves against one of the most dangerous men on the planet?” Daisy asks. “Of course I’m thinking of Ava! Especially where she and Lawrence have been getting close these past few months!” Andy notes. “Well Harper is pretty fond of her grandfather as well, and it’s not as if I can just cut off access! I do that, and Lawrence will know right away that I’m not on his side!” Dylan points out. “We can’t leave. We’re in this until the very end, which is why we came here hoping that maybe you could offer us a suggestion on how to handle this! This situation is becoming more and more dangerous by the second, Andy! We need to put an end to Lawrence’s reign of terror before anyone else dies!” Daisy states. “I know! Believe me, I know. I wish I could do more to help you, but my best advice would be to keep playing along with Lawrence. He already thinks Dylan is working with him, or at least we think he thinks that, so anything else would set off alarm bells for him.” Andy says. “Wow, thank you, Andy! That is great advice! Why didn’t I think of that? Oh wait, I DID! Too bad I’m pretty much positive that Lawrence knows I’m playing him!” Dylan snaps. “I don’t know what else to tell you. The only words of reassurance I can offer is that now that all of the jewels have been located, we can turn our focus to finding something to nail Lawrence with before he’s able to initiate his plans.” Andy says. “What good is finding proof going to do when the guy is the head of the WPA? He’ll just give himself immunity!” Daisy notes. “No one is invincible, not even the director of the WPA. We are going to take him down, and we’re gonna do it soon.” Andy states.
“I am so sick of you using Brady as leverage to get me into line!” Ciara snaps. “Then perhaps you should learn to stay in line so I don’t have to.” Lawrence suggests. “How long do you plan on keeping me on this stupid leash?” Ciara questions. “Until I have all three of the diamond jewels. I am so close to getting my hands on all of them, I already have the necklace! All I need now is the ring, which Andy and Rebecca have, and the bracelet. Speaking of, have Andy or Rebecca mentioned anything to you about the bracelet’s location?” Lawrence asks. “Nothing.” Ciara says. “Really? I would have thought by now that they would have reached out to Lydia, seeing as she was the one who had the original diamond bracelet.” Lawrence notes. “If they have, they haven’t said anything to me about it.” Ciara says. “Why wouldn’t they? You are Andy’s cousin, Rebecca’s best friend! Surely they would want to keep you in the loop.” Lawrence says. Ciara looks down at the floor. “What aren’t you telling me?” Lawrence wonders. Ciara sighs. “Something’s changed. I don’t know what it is, but I feel like Andy and Rebecca have been keeping me at an arm’s length lately.” Ciara admits. “Why would they do that?” Lawrence questions. Ciara shrugs. “I don’t know. The only thing I can think of is that they’ve figured out I’m working with you.” Ciara says. “How would they have drawn that conclusion? Have you not been careful enough?” Lawrence questions. “Of course I’ve been careful! But Andy and Rebecca are good at what they do, pulling the wool over their eyes isn’t as easy as you’d think! Rebecca did run into me at the prison, the day I went to visit Zoey and offer her the deal for the necklace. Maybe that made her suspicious.” Ciara suggests. “If that’s the case, you better try your hardest to ease Andy and Rebecca’s concerns. You’re only useful to me if you are able to provide me with inside information from Andy and Rebecca’s operation. If you are unable to do so, then I really don’t see any reason to keep this arrangement going.” Lawrence says. “You say that like it’d be a bad thing.” Ciara notes. “It would be, for Brady. The only way out of this for him is if our arrangement ends on a high note. If I’m forced to let you go because your source of intel has dried up, this is not going to end well for him. For that reason, it’d be within your best interest to make things right with Andy and Rebecca.” Lawrence says. “Fine, whatever! I’ll see what I can do.” Ciara says. Lawrence smiles. “I knew I could count on you. And for the record, I really do feel terrible about poor Zoey’s death. If only she hadn’t tried to give me a fake necklace, I wouldn’t have been forced to end her life so early. Ah well, there’s really no point in crying over spilt milk, or spilt blood as the case may be. Let’s just hope that there aren’t any more problems so that we can avoid any further bloodshed.” Lawrence says. “I’m going home.” Ciara coldly says, before walking out. Once Ciara is gone, Lawrence’s phone rings. “What do you got for me?...Is that right?...No, no I can’t think of any good reason as to why my son and Miss. Nichols would be visiting the Goo Castle, not unless he really was betraying me…no, thank you, I’ll take it from here.” Lawrence says, before hanging up. Lawrence sighs. “Oh Dylan, my boy…you have made a terrible mistake, you and Daisy both…” Lawrence mutters.
Outside the Stanpatos mansion, as Ciara closes the front door, Rebecca steps out of the shadows. Ciara turns around and jumps when she sees Rebecca. “Rebecca! What are you doing here?” Ciara asks. “I was going to ask you the same question.” Rebecca tells her. “I was-” Ciara begins to say. “You know what? Don’t bother answering. I know that you’ve been working with Lawrence all this time, and I think it’s time you and I finally had a talk about where your loyalty lies.” Rebecca states!
In the basement of the power plant, King Beast stirs awake and discovers Jenna standing over him. “You…” King Beast mumbles. Jenna smiles. “Morning, sleepy head.” Jenna says. “Is it morning?” King Beast wonders. “Eh, more like early evening.
