Fantastic S5 Episode 106(5/7/24)
In the living room of the Goo Castle, Ava throws a dead plant into a trash barrel. “Another one bites the dust…” Ava mutters. “Something wrong?” A voice asks. Ava turns and sees Colin standing in the doorway. “Just my black thumb striking again. I’ve killed my fourth plant over the last month.” Ava reveals. “I’m sorry to hear that.” Colin says. “Yeah…taking care of plants and crops and all that is supposed to help with stress, but pretty sure it’s just been adding to it.” Ava says. “I’m sure I haven’t helped in that regard either.” Colin says. “You mean when you turned our first date into a shouting match with my uncle Lawrence?” Ava asks. “I apologize for losing my cool like that. I was out of line, I should have shown more restraint than I did.” Colin says. “Yeah, you should’ve.” Ava says. “I would understand if you decided you wanted nothing to do with me after that display. However, despite everything that happened that night, I’m still holding out hope that perhaps we could try again. I know it may be asking for a lot, but I would really like a redo if you would allow me one.” Colin says. “Can I say something?” Ava asks. “By all means.” Colin tells her. “I think I owe you an apology too.” Ava admits.
At Lydia’s mansion, Lucas is in the study on the phone. “So not only has Zoey been released, but my sister is your new cellmate?...You’re right, that is pretty unbelievable. I hope Gretta isn’t giving you any trouble…she’s offered you protection, huh? That’s uncharacteristically generous of her…good, I’m glad you turned her down. Gretta almost always has an ulterior motive, I’m sure that this time is no different. I just can’t figure out what she would hope to gain by offering you help…don’t worry about it, I’ll pay her a visit later today and see if I can find out what she could be after.” Lucas says. “Hellooooooooo? Is anyone home?” A familiar voice can be heard asking. “For god’s sake…sounds like I have a visitor, I’ll give you three guesses who it is…bingo. I’ll talk to you later…Love you too, bye.” Lucas says. Lucas hangs up just as Zoey walks in. “There you are, darling! I’ve been looking all over for you!” Zoey exclaims. “How the hell did you get in here?” Lucas asks. “Via the front door! For such a large home, security really is lacking. That’s especially surprising given how many people would like to see you dead.” Zoey says. “Yourself included?” Lucas asks. Zoey smiles. “Oh come now, I’d never wish any sort of harm on you! I certainly wouldn’t be the one to cause it.” Zoey says. “Not physical harm, just emotional, like when you tried to drive a wedge between Lydia and I.” Lucas says. “As I recall, I did more than just try. But never mind that, that’s all in the past! Let’s focus on the present, yeah? I couldn’t help but notice that you didn’t seem all that surprised that I am here and not locked in a jail cell with Lydia.” Zoey notes. “Lydia just told me that you’d been released.” Lucas says. “I see she couldn’t wait to go running to you with that news. Sorry, poor choice of words! Lydia can’t really go running anywhere, not where she currently resides.” Zoey says. “What do you want, Zoey?” Lucas asks. “That’s all I’m going to get from you? No “I’m happy to see you, Zoey!”? Not even a “I’m thrilled you’re out of prison!”? I’m disappointed. I know that you and I didn’t leave things in the best of places, but I had hoped that time would’ve healed those wounds, just as they did after I left you at the altar all those years ago.” Zoey says. “Certain wounds can’t be healed. Now before I call the police and have you thrown back in jail for breaking and entering, I’m gonna ask you one more time what you are doing here.” Lucas says. “Alright, fine, be that way! I’m here to collect one of my belongings. I’m sure you remember that I lived here for a short period of time.” Zoey says. “You mean when the imaginary mobsters were after you?” Lucas asks. “Yes, precisely. Anyways, I left a valuable piece of jewelry here that I was unable to retrieve before being shipped off to Baronville. If you don’t mind, I’d like to retrieve it now.” Zoey says. “Are you out of your mind? I’m not going to just let you wander around my house unsupervised!” Lucas says. “Funny, I didn’t realize this was your house. Although, I guess once Lydia is convicted and sentenced to life, she won’t have any more use for it.” Zoey says. “That’s it! Get out!” Lucas demands. “No! I am not going anywhere until I get what I came for! Regardless of how you feel about me, it is of the utmost importance that I get that necklace!” Zoey states. “Why?” Lucas asks. “Uh, perhaps because it is mine? Look, you don’t like me, that’s fine. But that doesn’t mean I shouldn’t be permitted to collect the rest of my belongings.” Zoey says. “Why wasn’t this necklace with the rest of your stuff when you moved out?” Lucas wonders. “I placed it somewhere separately. Trust me, it was better that way.” Zoey says. “Apparently not since you’re coming here now looking for it.” Lucas says. “Can you just let me go to my old bedroom and collect it? Please?” Zoey asks. “Fine, but I’m coming with you. I don’t trust you not to steal whatever isn’t nailed down.” Lucas says. “Your lack of trust in me disheartens me immensely.” Zoey says. “Your lack of trustworthiness disheartened me.” Lucas says. Zoey rolls her eyes. “Whatever, let’s just get this over with so I can be on my way.” Zoey says. “Follow me.” Lucas urges.
At Jenna’s apartment, Jenna opens the front door and finds Janice standing outside. “Good morning sweetheart!” Janice exclaims. “Hey, what are you doing here?” Jenna wonders. “I brought you something!” Janice says. Janice reaches into her pocket and pulls out an old picture. “This is a picture I found of me and you, right after you were born! It’s actually the only picture you and I ever took together before I had to give you up.” Janice reveals. Jenna forces a smile. “Thank you, I appreciate this.” Jenna says. “Honey, what’s wrong?” Janice wonders. “Nothing is wrong! I’m smiling.” Jenna notes. “Yeah, but it isn’t an authentic smile. Something is bothering you.” Janice says. Jenna sighs. “You’ve got me. Dannie knows that I was planning on marrying them for their money…and marrying them for revenge.” Jenna reveals. “You told them?!” Janice asks. “I didn’t tell them! King Beast found out!” Jenna reveals. “Well how in the world would King Beast have found out?” Janice questions. “Dannie’s brother is a former cop and current PI, I guess King Beast asked him to do some digging into my past because he was suspicious.” Jenna says. “Let me guess, Andy Goo? Yeah, I’ve heard all about him. So are you gonna tell me what Andy found?” Janice wonders. “Might as well, the entire world knows now. King Beast is the reason my adopted mom is dead.” Jenna confesses. “He killed her?!” Janice asks. “Not directly! She protested his regime back when he was king, she got thrown in jail, and then another inmate killed her.” Jenna reveals. “Awww, sweetie, I am so sorry! I had no idea!” Janice says. “It’s not something I go around telling people. After she died, I got stuck with my adopted dad, what a piece of work he was. He…he forced me into prostitution to help pay the bills.” Jenna tells Janice. “Oh my god…I’m so sorry! This-this is all my fault! If I hadn’t given you up, none of this would’ve happened!” Janice says. “Stop! You had your reasons.” Jenna says. “And look where those reasons got you! You lost the only person that was keeping you safe and got stuck with a man who only cared about money! So Dannie knows the truth now?” Janice asks. “Yup, which means all of my plans have gone up in smoke.” Jenna says. “You aren’t suggesting this is the end, are you?” Janice asks. “It has to be! There’s nothing else I can do now that Dannie and King Beast know the truth.” Jenna says. “Like hell there isn’t! If Plan A was a failure, we’re just gonna have to resort to Plan B.” Janice says. “What’s Plan B?” Jenna wonders. Janice smiles. “You let your mama take care of everything.” Janice cryptically tells her…
“Why would you owe me an apology?” Colin wonders. “For overreacting. I get why you don’t like my uncle, and I also get why you’d lash out at him.” Ava says. “It still doesn’t make it okay.” Colin says. “It makes it understandable though. I’m sorry for flipping out on you just for showing some human emotion.” Ava says. “I don’t think I’m owed an apology, but how about this. How about we forget the whole thing ever happened and start over, yeah?” Colin asks. Ava smiles. “I’d really like that.” Ava says. “As would I. How about we do that now? Would you like to join me for a coffee? Unless you have work, in which case we could always reschedule until another time.” Colin says. “I have the day off actually, I’d love to go have a coffee with you. But can we go to the Lakeside Diner this time? Nothing too fancy.” Ava says. “Works for me. Come on, let’s go have some fun.” Colin says. Ava smiles and then follows Colin out of the room.
At Lydia’s mansion, Lucas stands by the doorway of Zoey’s old bedroom as Zoey looks around. “Now where on earth did I put that thing?” Zoey ponders. “Maybe it’s not even here. Maybe you left it in the home of the last guy you tried conning.” Lucas suggests. “Haha, very funny. I think I would remember where I left it.” Zoey says. “And yet you seemingly don’t.” Lucas says. “Has anyone stayed in this room since my departure?” Zoey questions. “Do you mean since you got thrown out on your ass? No, no one has stayed in this room.” Lucas says. “Wait a minute! I remember now!” Zoey exclaims. Zoey walks over to a potted plant and begins digging through the dirt. A moment later, Zoey pulls the necklace out from inside the dirt! “Aha! I’ve finally found you…” Zoey mutters. “Are you serious? You hid it inside of a plant and you couldn’t remember where it was?!” Lucas asks. “My apologies for not having a perfect memory! I’ve been through a great deal these past few years, not that you’d know anything about that. You’ve never actually had to pay for any of your crimes.” Zoey says. Lucas zeroes in on the necklace. “Wait a minute…that necklace looks very familiar.” Lucas says. “Does it now? Maybe you saw me wearing it once or twice.” Zoey suggests. “No, I don’t remember ever seeing you wear anything that flashy.” Lucas says. “Well then maybe you’ve seen it lying around my room from back when I lived here! I really wish I could help you sort out where you’ve seen it before, but I’ve got to dash!” Zoey says. “Hot date?” Lucas asks. “Not quite. The reason I came looking for the necklace is because there is someone looking to take it off my hands.” Zoey says. “You mean buy it off of you? I can’t see you giving it away.” Lucas says. “They are buying it off of me, but the currency being used isn’t money.” Zoey says. “Ah, so now we get to the bottom of how you managed to get released seventeen years earlier than you were supposed to.” Lucas says. “Pardon?” Zoey asks. “You leveraged that necklace for your freedom, didn’t you? Someone wanted the necklace and you would only give it to them if they would arrange for your release.” Lucas says. “That seems like a bit of a reach.” Zoey says. “I’m right, aren’t I?” Lucas asks. Zoey smirks. “Just as I figured. So that begs the question, what’s so special about that necklace where someone would go through the trouble of arranging your release from prison? To pull off something that huge, this person must have considerable resources at their disposal. Who is it?” Lucas wonders. “Like I said, I really am running late. I probably shouldn’t be spending so much time shooting the breeze with you. Don’t worry though, I would be more than happy to catch up with you later.” Zoey says. Zoey heads towards the door. “I hope you’re being careful.” Lucas says. “Would you care if I wasn’t?” Zoey questions. “Look, no matter how I may feel about you, I’d prefer that you not end up dead.” Lucas says. “I’m touched.” Zoey says. “Don’t be, it doesn’t mean anything.” Lucas says. “Well you needn’t worry. I haven’t survived this long by not being careful, I’ll be just fine. Ciao darling.” Zoey says with a wink, before walking out.
“I’m not sure you getting involved is such a good idea.” Jenna says. “Why not?” Janice wonders. “Because I know what happened when you got involved in Don’s life! Don’s wife Alexa died! Josephine Acerbi nearly died!” Jenna notes. “And you don’t think that King Beast would deserve something like that happening to him? For god’s sake Jenna, he killed your adopted mother! He shouldn’t be allowed to get away with that!” Janice says. “And he won’t! I’m handling it!” Jenna tells her. “How? You had a good thing going, planning to marry Dannie and then stealing their family fortune. But now that Dannie knows what you’ve been up to, you aren’t ever gonna be able to win back their trust!” Janice says. “I’m not sure I’d want to win back their trust.” Jenna admits. “Well we’ve gotta do something. We cannot allow that monster to get away with what he did to your family! He’s gotta pay somehow, and I am just the person to make that happen!” Janice says. “I don’t want him to die, I want him to suffer.” Jenna says. “He will suffer, baby girl. We’re gonna make that old fool suffer more than he ever has before! Sound like a plan?” Janice asks. Jenna hesitates for a moment before answering. “I’m not seeing any other option…whatever you have planned for King Beast, I’m in. It’s time he answers for all of his crimes.” Jenna says. “And he will. He’s not gonna get away with hurting you, not this time.” Janice states…
