Fantastic S5 Episode 128(6/26/24)
In the living room of the Goo Castle, Jackie lays out a giant map across the desk as Rebecca, Ciara, and V.J look on. Jackie points at a particular spot on the map. “Right about here should be where the island is.” Jackie says. “The question is, how are we gonna get on the island?” V.J wonders. “I’m not sure going by plane would be the best idea. We would basically be announcing ourselves to Lawrence.” Rebecca notes. “So then we take a boat.” Ciara says. “All the way from Fantastic?” V.J asks. “No, dummy! Look at the map. There’s this city in Russia called Logashkino, it’s right on the coast. If we fly there, we should be able to take a boat to Lawrence’s island.” Ciara says. “Sounds reasonable enough.” Rebecca says. “Alright, I’m gonna go track Serena down and let her know I’ll be leaving.” V.J says. “And I’m gonna go and break the news to Dad.” Ciara says. “I’m sure he’ll be thrilled to know that two of his kids are throwing themselves in the line of fire.” V.J sarcastically says. “I’ve got a feeling he’s used to it by now.” Ciara says. “I’m going to the station to fill everyone in on what’s going on.” Rebecca says. “Just be careful who you fill in. You don’t want to accidentally leak information to someone who could be on Lawrence’s payroll.” Ciara notes. “Yes, I know that.” Rebecca says. “While you guys are taking care of business, mind if I hang here? I need to make some work calls.” Jackie says. “Sure. Feel free to use the study if you’d like. Just go straight through that door right there and it’s your last door on the right.” Rebecca says. “Great, thanks.” Jackie says. Out in the foyer, Colin is still listening at the door when he hears footsteps approaching. Colin quickly runs to the other side of the room and ducks into another room. A moment later, Rebecca, Ciara, and V.J come in and walk out the front door. Once they’re gone, Colin reemerges and heads into the living room. Colin then notices Stan’s journal sitting next to the giant map. Colin walks over to the journal, opens it up, and begins flipping through the pages. “I heard they’re going to the East Siberian Sea, now I just need to find the precise coordinates. If I heard correctly, those coordinates should be in this book…” Colin mutters. “Excuse me, what do you think you’re doing?” A voice asks. Colin turns around and sees Jackie standing behind him!
At the Stanpatos mansion, Daisy is in the living room, pouring herself a drink. “God this is terrible! How long am I supposed to wait before Colin finds anything out? The quicker I found out where Lawrence took Dylan and Harper, the quicker I can help them.” Daisy mutters. The doorbell rings. “Hm, maybe that’s him.” Daisy suggests. Daisy walks out into the foyer, opens the front door, and finds Kristina standing outside. “What the hell are you doing here?” Daisy wonders. “Nice to see you too.” Kristina sarcastically says. “If you’re looking to move back into the gate house, now really isn’t a good time.” Daisy says. “I wasn’t. I stopped by to check on you.” Kristina admits. “Me?” Daisy questions. “Isn’t that what I just said?” Kristina asks. “Uh, yeah. I…I guess I just thought maybe I misheard you. Why are you checking on me?” Daisy wonders. “Because of everything going on with Dylan and Harper, I figured you must be a wreck.” Kristina notes. “I’m managing.” Daisy claims. “Has there been any news?” Kristina questions. “Nothing yet. Believe me, I’d know if there was. I basically spend my entire day sitting by the phone, waiting for some kind of update. The longer it takes, the more unconvinced I become that there’s going to be one.” Daisy admits. “There will be! Dylan and Harper are going to be just fine.” Kristina says. “Yeah, I’m going to make sure of it.” Daisy says. “What’s that supposed to mean?” Kristina wonders. “Nothing, don’t worry about it.” Daisy says. “Daisy, I hope you aren’t planning on doing anything stupid. Try to keep in mind that Lawrence is a total lunatic! If you try to get in his way, he wouldn’t hesitate to kill you!” Kristina notes. “Well someone needs to be worried about Dylan and Harper, especially when all Rebecca cares about is bringing her precious Ava home!” Daisy snaps. “I seriously doubt that.” Kristina says. “It’s the truth. Back when Ava and Harper had first been kidnapped, Rebecca’s priority was bringing Ava home! She showed absolutely no concern for the welfare of my daughter, only hers! If she’s not going to do what’s necessary to bring Dylan and Harper home, then the task falls to me!” Daisy says. “I get you and Rebecca have some history, but I really don’t think she’s gonna overlook rescuing Dylan and Harper!” Kristina argues. “You’ve checked in on me, I’m grateful for that, but now that you’ve done so there’s really no reason for you to keep hanging around.” Daisy says. “Is that your nice way of kicking me out?” Kristina questions. “I wasn’t trying to be nice about it.” Daisy tells her. “Okay, I’ll take the hint! Just be careful. If you won’t do it for yourself, do it for your daughter.” Kristina says, before walking out. “Everything I do is for my daughter, including not telling anyone that she’s biologically yours and Brady’s.” Daisy mutters…
On an island in the East Siberian Sea, Lawrence, Dylan, Ava, Gizelle, and two henchmen make their way down a corridor, with Gizelle holding Dylan and Ava at gunpoint. “How much longer do we have to walk?” Ava questions. Lawrence stops at a door. “Ah, here we are! Going by the blueprint I have of the building, this right here should be the control room.” Lawrence says. Lawrence attempts to open the door but is unable to do so. “Damn it, the door appears to be jammed!” Lawrence says. “In fairness, this facility probably hasn’t been touched since the 1940s.” Gizelle notes. “Who even knows if the equipment still works! This may have been a giant waste of your time. Maybe you should just turn back now and spare yourself the disappointment.” Dylan suggests to Lawrence. “Oh no, I have come too far to turn back now! I am this close to finally achieving my destiny!” Lawrence says. Lawrence turns towards the two henchmen. “Open this door!” Lawrence demands. The two henchmen walk over to the door and begin trying to open it. Lawrence turns towards Dylan and Ava. “I wouldn’t fret too much, this is nothing more than a minor inconvenience.” Lawrence says. “Till you get in there and find out the whole damn satellite is on the fritz. We’re talking about equipment that’s 80 years old.” Ava notes. “Wouldn’t it be something if Lawrence spent all these years trying to collect the three diamond jewels, only to find out that the machine doesn’t even work?” Dylan asks. “That’d be hilarious, actually!” Ava says. “I’m glad the two of you are finding ways to amuse yourselves while we wait.” Lawrence says. “Sir, we got the door open!” One of the henchmen announces. “Excellent work!” Lawrence exclaims. Lawrence enters the room and Gizelle forces Dylan and Ava to follow. Once inside, Lawrence takes in his surroundings. “This is truly magnificent!” Lawrence states. “It’s a room.” Ava argues. “This isn’t any mere room, my dear! This room houses one of the biggest technological achievements of the 1940s! No, not just of the 1940s, of all time! With this device at my disposal, the entire world will soon be kneeling before the Stanpatos dynasty.” Lawrence says. “It’s not much of a dynasty when it’s just you.” Dylan points out. “The two of you may scoff at my plans now, but I’m confident that you’ll eventually come around. If I wasn’t, I never would’ve brought you with me.” Lawrence says. “If you think I would ever willingly side with you, you’re even crazier than I thought.” Dylan says. “I second that.” Ava adds. “Who in the world said anything about willingly? But we’ll table that conversation for another time, there are far more important matters to tend to right now.” Lawrence says. Lawrence walks over to a large table with a screen in the middle of the room. “This is it…” Lawrence mutters. “Is that some kind of funky looking computer?” Ava wonders. “This device controls the satellite dish in space. With this, I am able to control where the lasers are fired, as well as how powerful the lasers are. Now if I’m correct, all I should need to do to turn it on is to insert the three diamond jewels.” Lawrence says. Lawrence pulls the bag containing the three diamond jewels out of his pocket. “The question is, where am I supposed to place them?...Ah ha! Found it!” Lawrence exclaims. Three holes shaped like each of the jewels are revealed to be on the backside of the machine. Lawrence removes the diamond bracelet from the bag and places it in its hole. Lawrence then pulls the diamond ring out of the bag and places it in the hole. Finally, Lawrence removes the diamond necklace from the bag and places it in the hole. Once all three diamond jewels have been placed, the screen on the table turns on! “What was it you both were saying about the equipment being too old to function?” Lawrence wonders. “Just because it turns on doesn’t mean it actually works.” Ava points out. “Which is precisely why I am going to test it out first!” Lawrence states. “You’re going to blow some place up just to make sure it works?!” Dylan questions. “Well yes. How else am I going to know?” Lawrence wonders. “My god, you’re sick!” Dylan tells him. Lawrence smirks and then turns his attention towards the table. “Alright, let’s see how this works, shall we? I’m guessing that slider right there must be for the power of the laser, but how do I target a particular place?...ah ha, I see. It goes by coordinates. I guess I better look those up real fast.” Lawrence says, before turning his attention to his phone. “Where do you plan on firing that thing?” Ava wonders. “I wouldn’t worry about that.” Lawrence says. “You plan on committing genocide and you expect us to shrug our shoulders and act like this is some casual Wednesday?” Dylan asks. “We need to test out the satellite dish somehow, dear boy. After all, we don’t want to issue our ultimatum to the world if we’re unsure we even have the equipment to back up our threats…here we are, the coordinates I was looking for.” Lawrence says. Lawrence then types a set of coordinates into the keypad of the computer. “The coordinates are in, now to just press enter.” Lawrence says. Lawrence then clicks on the enter button. “What the hell did you just do?!” Ava questions.
At the Fantastic P.D, Rebecca is in the squad room with Don. “If you’re going after Lawrence, I hope that you’re at least careful.” Don says. “Of course. I fully intend on coming back home to Andy, and being there for my daughter once I’m able to rescue her from Lawrence.” Rebecca says. “You’re doing a good thing here, commissioner. In fact, you could be saving the world.” Don notes. “I just really want this nightmare to be over. Lawrence has been terrorizing the people of this city for years, it’s time for him to be stopped once and for all.” Rebecca says. Kaylie runs in. “Hey, did you two hear about what happened in Texas?” Kaylie asks. “No. What happened in Texas?” Don wonders. “There was just this HUGE explosion that literally destroyed an entire desert! The news was saying they have no idea what caused it, just that there was this giant flash of light in the sky before it happened.” Kaylie says. “I think I know what happened. Lawrence did this.” Rebecca assumes.
“ANSWER ME, LAWRENCE! What did you just do?!” Ava questions. “Calm yourself, Ava. You’re getting far too worked up over nothing.” Lawrence says. “Did you fire that satellite at Fantastic?” Ava wonders. “Fantastic? Is that why you’re so upset? You thought that I had just wiped your precious home town off the map? No! In fact, the area I fired at wasn’t even a populated area. I aimed the satellite at a desert located in Texas. Where it was just a test I was running, I wanted to avoid killing any people.” Lawrence says. “You made your point, the satellite works.” Dylan says. “Yes, I suppose I did.” Lawrence says. “Now how about a compromise? Abandon this plan of yours and then you and I can find another way to take over the world, one that doesn’t present the risk of millions of casualties!” Dylan suggests. Lawrence sighs. “You and your unfortunate bleeding heart. I’m sorry Dylan, but I have been trying to find these jewels for years. There isn’t anything that you could say or do that would convince me not to move forward with this plan! But now that I have tested the satellite and confirmed that it does indeed work, it’s time for the next step in my plan: informing the world of the power I possess and telling them how I expect them to respond to my threats.” Lawrence says…
Upstairs in the Goo Castle, V.J and Serena are face to face. “When do you leave?” Serena wonders. “Today. I know it’s probably not what you wanted to hear.” V.J admits. “It’s what I expected. You didn’t come all the way back to Fantastic just to be some kind of consultant in taking Lawrence down, you wanted to be in the center of things.” Serena says. “I have to be. Those three diamond jewels have caused a lot of damage over the years. I could’ve caused a lot of damage with them if your mom had her way.” V.J notes. “I just hope you’re well enough to be doing this. There’s a reason your doctors at the clinic haven’t given you the all clear to check yourself out permanently yet. In fact, they were against you leaving even just for this!” Serena points out. “I know, and I’m gonna go right back the second I’m finished.” V.J says. “Assuming there aren’t any problems, right?” Serena asks. V.J begins caressing Serena’s cheek. “Hey, there won’t be. I’m gonna be just fine, okay?” V.J says. “I bet if you had seen me before you went off on that drug bust seven years ago, you would’ve told me the exact same thing.” Serena notes. V.J sighs. “You’re right.” V.J says. “I am?” A confused Serena asks. “Yeah. You have every reason to be worried, so if you don’t want me to go, I won’t go.” V.J says. “Yeah, but this is important.” Serena points out. “You’re important! You’re more important to me than anyone and anything in this entire world! I don’t want to go if you’re that scared. The last thing I want is for you to lose any sleep because of me.” V.J says. Serena contemplates for a moment before answering. “No, you have to go.” Serena says. “You sure?” V.J asks. “Yes! I remember what those three jewels are capable of from the last time my mother had them, and now Lawrence has them! You need to stop them before he’s able to put in motion whatever sick plan he’s cooked up!” Serena says. “You’re sure you don’t mind?” V.J asks. “Of course I do, but I also know how important this is and how much you would hate yourself if you weren’t there to help.” Serena says. “God I love you.” V.J says. “I love you too, which is why you better get your ass back here when you’re all done!” Serena says. “I promise I will. Cross my heart, hope to-” V.J begins to say. “Don’t you DARE say it!” Serena warns. V.J smiles. “Sorry. I am coming back though, I swear. I won’t let anything come between us again, including death.” V.J says. “I’m gonna hold you to that!” Serena says, before pulling V.J into a kiss.
In the food court of Goo Village, Victor and Ciara are sitting at a table. “Are you sure V.J is well enough to be a part of something like this?” Victor questions. “I don’t know, but we need all the help we can get if we’re gonna take Lawrence down.” Ciara says. “I understand. If only I were a little bit younger, maybe I could come with you.” Victor says. Ciara smiles. “I wouldn’t let you come with us if you were thirty.” Ciara tells him. “I know. I would just really like the opportunity to square off against Lawrence, after everything that bastard has put this family through. Shooting Andy, kidnapping Ava, holding poor Brady hostage and then cutting his leg off, and those are only his more recent crimes!” Victor notes. “Don’t worry, I’ll make sure he knows one of my bullets are from you.” Ciara says. “One of them? Just how many times do you plan on shooting him?” Victor questions. “Enough times to make sure he’s really dead this time.” Ciara answers. “Normally I would be against vigilante justice, but I’m willing to make an exception in this case. The only suitable punishment for that man is death if you ask me! I just hope that you, V.J, and everyone else involved in this siege are careful. Given everything Lawrence has done these past few months, we know that there are no limits to his evil. He wouldn’t hesitate to kill any of you.” Victor points out. “I know, which is why I’m gonna kill him first.” Ciara says.
In the living room of the Goo Castle, Jackie and Colin are face to face. “Are you going to answer my question about what you’re doing with that book?” Jackie questions. “I’m not sure that I owe you an explanation, I don’t even know who you are.” Colin points out. “My mistake.” Jackie says. Jackie pulls out her badge and flashes it to Colin. “Jackie Jennings, WPA.” Jackie tells him. “That’s a lovely badge, did you buy it at a flea market?” Colin wonders. “Quit with the jokes and give me the book.” Jackie demands. “I’d be more than happy to give you the book, just as soon as I am done looking through it.” Colin says. “Looking through it?! What do you need to be looking through it for? Nothing inside of that book concerns you!” Jackie states. “Except for the location of wherever Lawrence Stanpatos is heading. I overheard you discussing how he was planning to use some satellite dish? All I need is the coordinates of the computer Lawrence needs to operate that satellite dish and then I will happily return the book to you.” Colin says. “What’s your interest in Lawrence?” Jackie questions. “My girlfriend is one of his prisoners.” Colin reveals. “You must be talking about Ava.” Jackie realizes. “That’s right, so I’m sure you understand why it’s so important that I find out his location.” Colin says. “I hope you don’t plan on going after him yourself. That wouldn’t end well for you.” Jackie says. “You let me worry about that.” Colin says. “Nice try, but I’m not letting you off the hook that easily. Now this is the last time I’m gonna tell you, give me the book!” Jackie demands. “Or what? You’ll arrest me? I don’t think so. Somehow I doubt that this journal is even considered evidence by the WPA just yet, which means I’m not committing any crime by borrowing it momentarily.” Colin says. “Nah, just putting your own life in danger. Just give me the journal, kid, before I rip it out of your hands.” Jackie says. “You’ll have to catch me first.” Colin says. Colin quickly runs by Jackie into the foyer. “Damn it, GET BACK HERE!” Jackie shouts, before running after Colin.
Upstairs, Colin runs into a room, slams the door shut behind him, and then locks the door. “I don’t have much time before she is able to get through…” Colin mutters. Colin opens up the book and begins frantically flipping through the pages until he finds what he is looking for. “Ah ha! This is it…” Colin mutters. Colin pulls out his phone, snaps a picture of the coordinates, and then sends them to Daisy. Once Colin closes the book, Jackie kicks the door open! “No place left for you to run! Are you ready to hand it over yet?” Jackie questions. Colin smiles and hands the book over to Jackie. “It’s all yours, Agent Jennings.” Colin tells her…
In the living room of the Stanpatos mansion, Daisy hears her phone go off and she quickly checks the message she receives. Daisy smiles upon seeing the photo Colin took of the coordinates. “Thank you Colin for coming through for me. Almost makes me feel bad about stabbing you in the back. I’m sure you probably wanted to come with me so you could be Ava’s hero, but truthfully, you’d probably just end up getting in the way. Besides, I do my best work when I’m working alone.” Daisy says. Daisy walks into the foyer, opens the front door, and finds Lysandros standing outside! “Lysandros?!” Daisy questions. “The one and only.” Lysandros confirms!
Rebecca is with Don and Kaylie in the Fantastic P.D squad room. “We think that the weapon Lawrence plans on using is a satellite dish orbiting earth that is able to fire lasers capable of destroying entire countries.” Rebecca reveals. “I had no idea that kind of thing even existed.” Kaylie notes. “No one did. The weapons were developed in secret by Andy’s grandfather, Stan Goo. The same goes for the three diamond jewels.” Rebecca reveals. “Hold on, you mean that lunatic that was the head of the WPA back in the day? He called himself Shadow, didn’t he?” Don asks. “That’s right. One of his associates provided me with a journal of his that detailed the creation of the three diamond jewels as well as the weapons that go with them. We were able to figure out that the weapon Lawrence likely plans on using is the satellite dish, and that the computer connected to it is located on an island in the East Siberian Sea.” Rebecca reveals. “Did you alert the WPA?” Don questions. “I told Jackie Jennings, but unfortunately the WPA doesn’t have permission to operate in Russia which means there isn’t anything they can do.” Rebecca admits. “We can’t just sit around and do nothing when Lawrence plans on possibly committing genocide!” Kaylie notes. “We aren’t. Ciara, V.J, and I are leaving today. We’re going to take the Goo jet to a city called Logashkino. Once there, we’re going to take a boat to Lawrence’s island so that we can get on it undetected.” Rebecca says. “Okay, count me in.” Kaylie says. “Wait a minute, you can’t come with us.” Rebecca says. “Why not? It sounds like you could use all of the help you can get!” Kaylie says. “Yes, but you have a young son at home! You don’t want to put yourself at risk!” Rebecca points out. “I’d be putting myself at risk FOR him! If Lawrence has a weapon that powerful at his disposal, he either plans on destroying the world or reshaping it in a way that would only benefit him. I don’t want my son living in that kind of world! So if I can play some sort of role in stopping Lawrence, I’m gonna do it.” Kaylie says. Rebecca sighs. “You’re right, we really could use all the help we can get. Okay, you’re in.” Rebecca says. Kaylie smiles. “Thank you, I appreciate it.” Kaylie says. “I appreciate you! Your sense of right and wrong, your bravery, those are the qualities that make you not just one of the best officers at this department, but probably one of the best period. I’m just proud to be able to call you one of my own.” Rebecca says. “You don’t have to worry about things back here. I’ll hold down the fort while the two of you are gone.” Don says. “Thank you. And even though Lawrence may be long gone from Fantastic, keep an eye out in case one of his associates are still in town. If you come across ANYONE with a connection to Lawrence, you bring them here and you find out everything you can about what he’s planning!” Rebecca orders. “Yes ma’am.” Don says. An officer approaches the three. “Commissioner, there’s a live stream going on right now that you’ll really want to see.” The officer says. “Does it pertain to a case?” Rebecca questions. The officer nods. “Oh yes, definitely.” The officer says. The officer leads Rebecca, Kaylie, and Don over to a laptop and Lawrence is revealed to be live streaming! “For those of you that don’t know who I am, allow me to remedy that. My name is Lawrence Stanpatos, head of the Stanpatos family. I’m coming to your televisions and your computer screens and your phones with a very important message for each and every one of you, though this is mainly being addressed to the leaders of your respective countries. You may have heard of a massive explosion that struck a desert in Texas earlier today, I’d like to inform you that that was me. You see, I am in possession of three legendary items known as the diamond jewels, and those simple pieces of jewelry are capable of powering some of the most catastrophic weapons known to mankind. One of those weapons is a satellite dish that orbits our lovely little planet, which is how I was able to obliterate that lovely desert. This satellite dish is able to fire lasers powerful enough to destroy entire countries at a time. If I truly wanted to, I could wipe this entire planet off the map in the span of twenty four hours. However, I happen to be rather fond of this planet, which is why I’m hoping to avoid as much bloodshed as possible. With that being said, there is a price that comes with my generosity. Now this is the part that our world’s leaders will need to pay attention to. If you would like to me to spare your country, you will need to surrender control of your nation to me. I realize that it is much more complicated than the president or dictator simply signing a document, but given the stakes, I am confident that each world leader will have no difficulty accomplishing this simple task. For those of you that are afraid, I urge you not to be. So long as your politicians do the right thing and surrender control to me, no one will be harmed. Quite the opposite, actually! I believe that once I am in full control, I will be able to bring about true change to this world, change that will most definitely make our planet a much better place to live. In order for that to happen though, your leaders MUST comply with my demands. I have a list of every country, as well as the names of their leading politicians. Each of you have 24 hours to do as I say. The countries that do so will live to prosper in the new era of humanity. Those that don’t will be obliterated and inevitably forgotten, much like many civilizations that have fallen before them. Do not test me, I don’t make idle threats. If you don’t believe me, I suggest you look into several crimes that I’ve recently been responsible for in a place called Fantastic City. All of those unfortunate incidents could have been avoided had the victims simply cooperated with me rather than stand against me. Also, for those of you who believe you can trace this broadcast and eliminate me before we reach my 24 hour deadline, you are most welcome to try! But I should warn you, you will be wasting precious time. I have taken certain precautions to make sure that this broadcast is unable to be traced. You’re never going to find me. Your only hope of survival is to meet my demands. I look forward to hearing from all of you soon.” Lawrence says, before the broadcast ends. “Looks like the stakes have just been raised. We need to get to that island as soon as possible, before Lawrence is able to fire that weapon again!” Rebecca states.
At the Stanpatos mansion, Daisy is in the living room, pouring herself a drink. “God this is terrible! How long am I supposed to wait before Colin finds anything out?
