Fantastic S5 Episode 130(7/2/14)
In the Slate Gray restaurant, Victor and Virginia are sitting at the bar as Virginia is on the phone. “No Bethany, I completely understand. As a business woman myself, I know how fast things can get sprung on you. Before I hang up though, how are you holding up?...Yeah, I figured as much. Listen now, don't give up hope. No matter how angry Kaylie might be with you, I firmly believe that she still loves you and can one day forgive you…yeah, fingers crossed. Alright, so I will make sure Issac is ready to go to your place tomorrow morning…you too sweetie, bye now!” Virginia says, before hanging up. “So Bethany told Kaylie that she would look after Issac while Kaylie was away, and already Bethany is backing out?” Victor questions. “Club Aqua is short staffed tonight so Bethany is filling in behind the bar.” Virginia says. “I can't believe people are actually going out for drinks tonight, knowing the potential impending doom courtesy of Lawrence's device.” Victor says. “You and I are out for drinks!” Virginia points out. “Only because you needed something to take the edge off, with Kaylie going after Lawrence.” Victor says. “Yeah…I don't know what I'll do if she don't make it home in one piece, Victor.” Virginia says. “Not only is she going to make it home in one piece, but she's also going to help save the world! You should be proud.” Victor says. “Oh believe me, words can't describe how proud I am! But Kaylie's bravery has a tendency to get her into trouble sometimes.” Virginia notes. “Hm, well that sounds familiar. That sounds a lot like you!” Victor tells her. Virginia smiles. Acerbi walks up to the bar. “Is anyone working tonight? I could really use a drink!” Acerbi says. “Bad day?” Victor questions. “”Is that a serious question? My ex boyfriend is threatening to blow up the entire world unless the world kneels before him, it is a terrible day! Do you have any idea how far Canada is from here?” Acerbi wonders. “If you drive, it would probably take 8, 9 hours. Why?” Victor questions. “I was just thinking that if the United States is foolish enough to not give in to Lawrence's demands, perhaps I should retreat to Canada before Lawrence is able to blow this country to kingdom come!” Acerbi says. “But what happens if Canada don't go along with Lawrence's demands either?” Virginia wonders. “Then I suppose that once I arrive in Canada, I will be canoeing across the ocean to yet another country!” Acerbi says. “I don't think we'll have to worry about Lawrence putting his plan into motion.” Victor says. “Why do you say that?” Acerbi wonders. “Rebecca has pinpointed Lawrence's location. She, V.J, Ciara, and Kaylie are on their way to stop him as we speak.” Victor says. “They need to do more than just stop him! The only way to stop a man like Lawrence is to kill him! That's how I finally got rid of Wishbone.” Acerbi says. “I heard something about that. You go girl! Good on you for putting a bullet in your abuser!” Virginia says. “Why thank you!” Acerbi says. King Beast walks up to the group. “Well, it looks like we all had the same idea.” King Beast says. “You're here for a drink too?” Victor asks. “Dannie is working late at the hospital tonight and Brady has already retired to his room, which means I'm all by my lonesome. Normally I would watch a movie with Ava, but unfortunately that isn't possible right now.” King Beast says. “It will be soon enough.” Victor says. “I've got an idea! All four of us are down in the dumps for one reason or another, so how about we grab ourselves a table?” Virginia asks. “You wouldn't mind having me?” Acerbi asks. “I'd love to have you! From everything I've heard about you, Doctor Acerbi, you sound like a fascinating woman! I'd love to get to know you a little better.” Virginia says. “In the case, I would be delighted to join you!” Acerbi says.
At Club Aqua, Bethany is doing inventory behind the bar. “I should've just closed for the night and stayed home. This place is freaking dead…” Bethany complains. “Not completely. You do have one customer.” A familiar voice says. Bethany turns around and discovers Scarlett sitting at the bar, who waves at her. “Sorry, I didn't hear you come in. What can I get you?” Bethany asks. “A bottle of your strongest wine please.” Scarlett says. “The whole bottle, huh? Are you expecting company?” Bethany wonders. “Nope, just me.” Scarlett says. “Damn.” Bethany says. “I like to look at it as self care. I'm a bit stressed over the world possibly being blown up, so I figured that if I'm going to die, I might as well leave the world the same way I came in: completely oblivious.” Scarlett says. “That's a good plan. In fact, I may actually join you! Do you mind sharing the bottle?” Bethany asks. “Do I get a discount?” Scarlett playfully asks. “For the company, consider this bottle on the house!” Bethany says. “How kind. My name's Scarlett, by the way.” Scarlett says. “Bethany. It's nice to meet you.” Bethany says, as she holds her hand out. “You as well.” Scarlett says. “Australian, right? We don't get too many of those around Fantastic.” Bethany notes. “That's a shame. Aussies really know how to have a good time, I should know.” Scarlett says. “I don't remember seeing you around before. Are you new to town?” Bethany asks. “Pretty new. I got here probably almost a month ago I want to say. Fantastic has been great so far.” Scarlett says. “Do you plan on sticking around?” Bethany wonders. “The jury is still out on that one. I'm here on business, but I'm keeping my options open.” Scarlett says. “Well if you do decide to move here, tread carefully. This city has a reputation for the craziest and most outlandish crap happening.” Bethany says. “Like a megalomaniac threatening to blow up the world with a satellite dish that shoots lasers?” Scarlett asks. “Basically a regular occurrence.” Bethany admits. “Well now you've got my attention! You HAVE to tell me everything!” Scarlett urges. “Okay, but you better brace yourself. You might want to run as far away from this city as possible when you hear everything I've got to say.” Bethany says.
At the mountain cabin, Lydia is pacing back and forth when Lucas walks in. “There you are! What took you so long?” Lydia questions. “I got caught up in a conversation with the clerk at the convenience store I stopped in at.” Lucas says. “Lucas, we're fugitives. I'm not sure conversing with strangers is the best idea.” Lydia notes. “We weren't talking about silly things like the weather, this was important.” Lucas says. “This sounds serious.” Lydia notes. “Apparently Lawrence Stanpatos has collected all three of the diamond jewels and he is in control of a weapon that could wipe out entire countries at a time.” Lucas reveals. “You're joking, right?” Lydia asks. “I wish that I were. Lawrence went live a few hours ago and said that any world leader that doesn't surrender control of their country to him within the next 24 hours will have their country destroyed.” Lucas says. “Oh my god…wait a minute, if Lawrence is after the three diamond jewels…” Lydia begins to say. “I did some digging, and it turns out that Lawrence has been outted as the person who faked your death and kept you away from all of us for two years.” Lucas reveals. “That BASTARD! Does anyone know where he is?” Lydia questions. “I'm not sure, but I've reached out to some of my former contacts to see if there is anything they can find out.” Lucas says. “Why would you be looking into any of this?” Lydia questions. “If I can find out where Lawrence is, you can be damn sure I'm going to hunt him down and make him pay for what he did to you!” Lucas says. “No, you can't! Lawrence is WAY too dangerous!” Lydia states. “It's fine. I don't think I'm going to be able to track down Lawrence anyway. I'm sure he's taken plenty of precautions to cover his tracks.” Lucas says. “Good! I don't want you anywhere near that psychopath! In fact, I'd like to leave that part of my life behind me.” Lydia says. “Well as long as Lawrence still has those three diamond jewels at his disposal, he is going to continue to be a threat towards us and the entire world.” Lucas says.
In the Slate Gray restaurant, King Beast, Acerbi, Victor, and Virginia are now sitting around a table. “I really hope that Rebecca and all of them know what they are doing by going after Lawrence. He's proven himself to be incredibly dangerous over these past few months.” King Beast says. “More like these past few years! I heard that bastard is responsible for faking the death of my dear friend Lydia! Well I hope that when the grim reaper finally comes for him that his death will NOT be fake!” Acerbi says. “I'll drink to that.” Virginia says. “That son of a bitch has caused so much harm. My son lost his leg because of Lawrence, Lawrence spent months blackmailing Ciara!” Victor recalls. “That doesn't even cover what he's done to poor Andy. Andy may never wake up thanks to Lawrence.” King Beast says. “I've been praying for him every night.” Virginia says. “Thank you. He could use all of the prayers and good thoughts that he can get. My fondest hope is that his mother is looking out for him and that she will some day soon bring him back to us.” King Beast says. “It wouldn't be the first time Molly has done something like that. She saved my life when Virmor tried to have me killed at the Goo Village opening.” Victor recalls. “And I will forever be thankful for that! I've gotta drop off some flowers by that woman's grave sometime.” Virginia says. “I'd be happy to take you some time.” Victor says. “That'd be great, darling.” Virginia says. “You know what else would be great? If Lawrence were to end up in a grave right next to our dearly departed sister.” Acerbi says. “Perhaps not RIGHT next to her. I don't think Molly would appreciate being neighbors with Lawrence. She was the object of his obsession for many years.” King Beast notes. “If she were here now, he probably would've roped her into this ridiculous plan of his! Even despite the fact that she shot him!” Victor says. “Lawrence has a difficult time taking hints. I have been trying to tell him that we are over for months and yet he continues pursuing me.” Acerbi says. “Well now that he's on the run, I think you might finally be off the hook.” Virginia says. Acerbi raises her glass. “And may he stay gone!” Acerbi says. “I don't know. If Lawrence's plan is a success, he'll remain a thorn in our sides for years to come.” King Beast says. “Luckily for us and the rest of the world, the chances of Lawrence's plan being successful are slim to none. There is a remarkably capable team on their way to bring Lawrence down as we speak, there's no chance of him coming out on top.” Victor says. King Beast takes a sip of his drink. “I hope you're right…” King Beast mutters.
At Club Aqua, Bethany and Scarlett each have a glass of wine. “Demonic possession? Seriously?” Scarlett asks. “Mmhm, and two of the people the demon possessed were by BFF's hubby and her daughter. That demon freaking tried to burn down Goo Village! He had some kinda medallion that would've brought back all the souls from hell and unleashed them on the world!” Bethany recalls. “Is this city usually the go to place for outlandish world domination plots?” Scarlett wonders. “Mmhm. So there was this kooky old dude, he called himself The Evil Force, and he croaked about…I want to say nine years ago? Anyways, his son was missing daddy and his psychotic ways, so what does he do? He doesn't visit his grave or look at old family photo albums like a normal son would! No, he hires this crazy ass scientist to develop a protocol that could transfer his father's memories and emotions INTO another human being!” Bethany says. Scarlett laughs. “That's impossible! You can't bring back the dead!” Scarlett claims. Bethany gives her a look. “Oh my god, it worked?! Are you serious?” Scarlett asks. “Yes, but I was giving you that look because dead people come back all the time in this city. That was just one of the more unusual ways they came back. Normally when somebody dies in Fantastic, they aren't so dead that you can't just bring them back with a syringe or a resurrection pod, but apparently this 90 year old man who got shot like 10 times was the exception.” Bethany says. “So is he still around?” Scarlett wonders. “No. The procedure was reversed after he tried to freeze the world.” Bethany says. Scarlett begins choking on her drink. “That would've been my reaction to if I wasn't there for all of it. I've been involved with a lot of strange people over the years, but getting courted by a lady who had the memories of a guy who was old enough to have seen the great depression was definitely new for me. So are you ready to run away from the city screaming yet?” Bethany wonders. “Hell no! I think you might've actually sold me on sticking around a bit longer.” Scarlett says. “If you can deal with the mess, all the more power to you. So what brought you to Fantastic anyways? I know you said something about it being business related.” Bethany says. “It is. My dad bought the local hospital and he's asked me to run it.” Scarlett reveals. “Wait, your family bought Fantastic Medical? That's insane! How are you and Doctor Acerbi getting along?” Bethany questions. “I don't think she likes the idea of having a boss. I get the impression her last boss pretty much let her do whatever she wanted to. How do you know Doctor Acerbi?” Scarlett wonders. “It's a small city. Trust me, once you get implemented a little better in our little society, you'll realize that everyone knows everyone around here.” Bethany says. “How cozy.” Scarlett says. “It is until people start butting into your business.” Bethany says. “I can handle it. I don't have anything to hide.” Scarlett tells her. “We'll see how true that is soon.” Bethany says. “Well I should probably get going. I've got meetings galore tomorrow and I don't want to wake up with a hangover, assuming there even is a tomorrow and we aren't blown to bits by then.” Scarlett says. “You should be able to squeeze your meetings in before the world ends.” Bethany says. Scarlett laughs. “Well it was nice meeting you, Bethany.” Scarlett says. “You too, and if you ever need anybody to show you around town or you're looking for some juicy gossip on some of the residents, I'm your girl.” Bethany says. “I'll have to keep that in mind, I'm all for some piping hot tea. Bye now.” Scarlett says. “See ya.” Bethany says, as Scarlett walks out. Once Scarlett is gone, Bethany raises her glass. “To the end of the world, may it come later rather than sooner.” Bethany mutters, before taking a sip of her drink.
At the mountain cabin, Lucas joins Lydia at the kitchen table. “Any news about Lawrence?” Lydia wonders. “I checked, it doesn't look like it.” Lucas says. “Lawrence only gave people 24 hours to give in to his demands, right?” Lydia asks. “That's right.
