Fantastic Season 5 Preview

LUCAS/LYDIA/JULIA: After the season 4 finale, we now know that Lydia is awake and when we check in with her in season 5, we see that she is now up and about and talking. We will begin to see more and more of where Lydia is being held and why Andropov is holding her, as well as who else may be involved in this conspiracy. At the same time, ever since Lydia woke up, Lucas has begun not only feeling differently but also having recurring dreams of Lydia. Could Lucas’ inability to let Lydia go create a rift between him and Julia? And just how long will Lydia remain in captivity? We definitely won’t be seeing Lydia sitting around waiting to be rescued, she is going to be actively trying to escape Andropov so she can return home to Lucas and everyone else who loves her.

DYLAN/KRISTINA/DAISY/LAWRENCE/LYSANDROS: Dylan finds himself having to navigate a new normal with Daisy and Harper both living at the Stanpatos mansion with him, as well as whatever may be developing between him and Kristina. As we saw last season however, Dylan has developed an interest in remembering his past and that leads him to trying to track down Doctor Andropov, the one person he thinks might be able to help him remember everything. Dylan ends up distracted however when Lawrence exerts pressure on him to follow through with their planned takeover of Masters Corp. In order to take control of the company, Dylan first needs to get his hands on Adelina’s shares, but as we know, Adelina is currently in hiding and the one person who knows where she is is Lysandros. As such, Lawrence brings Lysandros back to Fantastic hoping that he can tell them where to find Adelina so they can acquire her shares. Unfortunately for them, Lysandros returns armed with an agenda of his own, which he makes abundantly clear when he informs Dylan and Lawrence of his terms. Though Lysandros may have returned to Fantastic on business, he may also find himself making new connections when sparks begin to fly between him and Daisy.

ANDY/REBECCA/AVA: Andy and Rebecca return from their extended vacation when Ava vanishes on them. The two frantically worry about what could have happened to her until a now 20 year old Ava arrives at the Goo Castle with a bit of a rebellious streak. As Andy and Rebecca attempt to navigate this situation with Ava, things become even more difficult when Ava finds herself drawn to the Stanpatos side of her family. Andy and Rebecca oppose Ava having anything to do with the Stanpatos family, especially if it means her ending up in Lawrence’s orbit.

BETHANY/KAYLIE: Since Bethany and Kaylie officially became a couple, they haven’t really had the chance to actually date because they became involved with the Cats. When season 5 begins, we are finally going to see these two in a state of happiness they haven’t seen since getting together. As they are finally enjoying some peace and quiet, the two decide to take a big step in their relationship. However, fans of Fantastic know that no couple stays happy forever, so you can expect there to be some drama coming up for these two.

DANNIE: Dannie receives a bouquet of flowers which seem innocent enough. However, as they begin to receive more and more “gifts”, it becomes obvious that this is not just an innocent crush someone has on them. Could this mysterious admirer be a patient of Dannie’s? Or possibly someone from their past? Needless to say, they are going to need some help dealing with this mysterious stalker which will draw them into the orbit of another couple.

20th ANNIVERSARY: Fantastic’s 20th Anniversary is quickly approaching and we plan on celebrating in a grand way. Readers can expect to see a plethora of returns beginning with Lydia, as well as a huge story line which draws from the series’ past. A threat is quietly approaching Fantastic City and has been for quite some time, and if this nefarious plan is executed, nothing and no one will be safe.
